I am going to try and articulate my thought and hope you guys will help me out with it a little.
I was thinking of posts I have read about here we are thinking we know a thing or two about the size of the planets, distance to different stars etc, and how all these measurements are created by us to give us a sense of space. Many people have reasoned that our universe is in fact miniscule (I think of Horton hears a who).
I got to wondering what fuels the sun and have read that dark matter may be its fuel source, or the sun is in fact a cube spinning at such a rate as to create friction in space causing it to produce heat and light. What if the sun is mid way through a fire flash like when you strike a match and whoosh it's over in a second. Could we be in a reality where time goes this fast and to us seems like many years. If the sun's core is in fact 70 million F, and it's surface is 9950 F, it seems to me it would exhaust itself pretty quickly regardless of it's size.

Sorry if this thread seems confusing but it's been something I have been pondering and would like some of your opinions.
Thanks in advance
Chris
