simply because it was anarchy and democracy in action....ie freedom, the very ideology david (icke) spoke of (till, apparently, tsarion said a few words to ickey boy)

...no one took offence, and yet many took offence, but you could say it...regardless (original icke forum)

the old site died, not of cia/mi5 or anything.....but because of harris, is why it died

shame on you harris you created something and then shat upon your successors who made your name

we know who we are

I feel the same, this forum just doesn't do it, not as fast or funny. I miss some of the old characters and the freedom. Only thing I don't miss is the porn.

No offence to anyone on here though, I'm sure I'll grow to love this forum and its posters and in time will get over my old love. In the meantime I'll make do with this arranged marriage.

Nice to see you again Oceanwave :)

Geez with a G I like to be original when I can. I'm tired of you lot moaning about how the other Forum was better and you diss this one! Many good sites go down the pan that's nature of the Internet.

You have the oppurtunity to post what you like here, so get posting some good info.
It's the input from the people that make a good Forum. Come and enlighten us that didn't use the old forum ( lol I never knew it existed even until about 6 months ago too late) You have years of postng and info care to share it here. :)

I think the moderators: none on ciggy's site is pretty cool. :D Maybe works well for that forum, but most other forums likely need some form of moderation.

Oceanwave :)
We all miss it...
It's left a niche that can never be filled.
You didn't post much there toward the end, as I remember.
But enjoy your reverie...
Don't listen to the patronising words of others here who come bearing candy gifts laced with arsenic.

I'm doing well thanks, how are you whoever you are??? :D

If you don't want to say on here then please pm me and let me know.

Also, I think we should start a forum petition to have a facility to change the colour of this forum, not digging this green colour. I want a choice damn it.

My impression was, that it seemed a lot like the survival of the fittest some of the time. Was very open and honest a lot of the time. Was a place for people at different stages in life, from all walks of life, if their intentions were genuinely in the spirit of individual freedom as suggested by David Icke. Very rare phenomenon; people speaking from their hearts spontaneously and directly and trusting other people to be able to handle it. The quick tempo was excellent, even with few posters present. It is missed.

Hey oceanwave,

I've had pangs in the last week too, mostly because of the few days it had miraculously come back up. Just seeing it all there again filled me with such excitement it was really quite weird and it was a real heartbreaker for me when it went back offline.

Although I havent posted here much on this forum, certainly everyone I've talked to and met has been lovely, but there was something about the old forum with its totally unpredictable madness that a moderated forum just cannot compete with.

I dont mean to harp on about the old forum either as it really looks theres no bringing it back, and I'm glad at least this forum is here as some kind of replacement. I've got nothing against moderators of forums, its just that forums with moderation by its very nature produce a kind of homogenised environment which can weaken the immune-response and vibrancy of the culture. You've either got freedom to express yourself or you dont.

Ofcourse, one might argue that The Forum eventually paid the price for lack of maintainance and its anarchic nature by spinning out of control and getting hacked by all manner of shady entities. Although that might be true, nothing will ever take away from its undeniable charisma when it was in full swing.

There's Illusions ofcourse, which has got some of the good old sorts there but for me I just cant get into the feel of it either, I might have to check out ciggys forum.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know you are not alone in your wistful feelings for the old place.

For those who are reading who weren't at the old place it probably sounds all a bit hard to understand, and in some ways you're lucky because I think once you've tasted that kind of genuinely sweet nectar of madness on a forum everything else can see a bit like aspartame, and that's no judgement of anyone here but just symptomatic of how culture at large can be dis/empowered in a closed environment.

And here endeth the lesson.

Peace out all, planetfrog loves you.

:)
