Earlier today a report on CNN stated that in todays politically incorrect one world religious society, Kermitt the frog has become as offensive as the golly wogg dolls.
The reason being is that it is obvious to all and sundry that Kermitt "a frog" is having an inter-species affair with Miss Piggey "a pig".
Evangelist Christians are up in arms because they know the pig is a satanic symbol for humans.
The jews are furious because it's just not kosher to put ones hand up a pigs bottom while it's still alive, even though she is just a puppet, it's the principle of the thing they say.
And the mulisms are up in arms because Burt and Ernie are obviously mocking Alah and the prophet mohamed.
Oh and obesse people are deeply offended by the gluttony of the cooky monstor as are orthodox cathoilics because they feel the cookies resemble the sacrament in shape and size.
And finally the ancient Egytpians are petrified by the frog symbolism fearing another plague of biblical proportions. So folks, the days of the muppet show may be no more. What's next - THE END OF THE WORLD????

Some people just can't take being offended. My proposition is this:
Readiness to object to being offended is INVERSELY proportional to the legitimacy of one's position.
Thus it is that whenever you see people being "offended", you know that they are hypocrites. Think of all those people who are offended by what they see on TV. If they had any integrity they would not own a TV.

I like that about offence being inversely proportional. It seems that they are more trying to convince themselves of their own faith than anything else.

Being "offended" is not levity these days, pal. Generally it is the prelude to all hell breaking loose, lawsuits, compliants to the police etc etc. Makes me sick to see what people who imagine themselves to have been offended, justify to themselves by way of their subsequent retaliatory conduct.

What I am saying is that although being offended may be levity in your eyes, in the eyes of many people, it is not. It is deadly serious; and is the justification for all manner of evil conduct. In fact the religion of the new world order could be classified as a legal duty not to offend.

Please start a thread about "offense" if you want to wax lyrical about what it means. It isn't the topic or pupose of this thread. I never said anything about levity being offensive. If you keep going about this I'm liable to become offensive.

Don't become offensive my brother, we need to show love and compassion.

I was referred to offense not (necessarily) being jocular, not levity being offensive.
