I just got back from seeing the lastest star trek movie and the symbolism spoilt it for me!
Its amazing the laddled on sun god and pryamid imagery.
Without spoiling it for people who haven't sen the movie, theres a scene with simon pegg as Scotty in the transporter room sitting behind a glass screen - on the glass are triangular warning stickers - the camera pans across so his right eye is at the top of the triangle - pyramid - in the capstone area.
Theres a funny little space ship that Spock zips around in near the end where the cockpit seat makes a prramid and the porthole is an eye shape above it.
Kirk usually has a large'ish light shining over his shoulder when on the bridge - sun god?
