The time has come for MPs to remove Speaker Michael Martin and replace him with one of their number who stands a better chance of restoring the reputation of the House of Commons. The situation has become so serious that only unprecedented action will do. He cannot go on.

I'm not quite following the logic!

The speaker of the House is not a Freemason!

The speaker of the House is not a Freemason!Mike I have no idea whether he is or isnt, and dont really care. But do you mean:-

1. What you said, or that
2. He is not a Freemaosn under UGLE?

As you know there are many small fraternties and independent lodges in England.

Yes it wouldn't surprise me at all, that this arrogant prick is a freemason. You only have to look at the P2, Vatican scandal to know how entrenched freemasons are in all areas of high positions.

I know our own government has secret society members that fill the higher positions You would be a fool not to think there isn't.

Now, no one in the Martin family has broken any rules or will think they have done anything unusual. And that is the problem. Speaker Martin's clan are the personification of a spirit not of personal corruption but of the good old boy politics that disgusts the public.

The creation of a quango such as Ofparl, or Ofcommons, to boss around members and scrutinise taxi receipts, would not improve our elected representatives' behaviour. On the contrary, it would make us more like the Italians. By stating that as a body Parliament could not be trusted to run its own affairs, we would imply that it is incapable of helping to run our affairs, too.

Whats the difference.

Mike is correct, the Speaker is not a Mason.
