The $328,835 snapshots of an Air Force One backup plane buzzing lower Manhattan last week will not be shown to the public, the White House said yesterday.
"We have no plans to release them," an aide to President Obama told The Post, refusing to comment further.

Why spend all that tax payers money on taking photographs and not release them to the general public??!

It wasn't a photo-op. They were shooting video for CGI graphics. I am not saying that is what it was, but it's a possibility that I haven't seen anyone bring up and it has scary implications if true. I do know this - it was no accident, and whatever its intended purpose, it was a displicable act.

Strange contradictions, the sole purpose was to take publicity shots of af1, then the next sentence, the shots are classified and will not be shown to the public ??

motleyhoo what do you mean by saying they were shooting video for cgi? If that was the case what do you think they would intend to do with it?
Also, I dont believe for a second that nobody knew the panic it would have caused? It was indeed despicable

I was just throwing that out there as a possibility. You and I both know what that would be used for, don't we?
The only thing we really know at this point is that it was not a photo-op. So what was it?
