"When your mind wakes up from sleep quicker than your physical body, and you feel someone pushing down on you or "watching" you, it is a Reptilian (or other kind of alien) in the fourth dimension.
If your mind wakes up quicker than your body, then your mind cannot exist in the third dimension because your third-dimensional human body is still asleep. Thus, your mind switches to the fourth dimension and is able to experience fourth-dimensional reality.
Right now, we are in the third dimension. And, when we die here, we go to the fourth dimension (the astral world). The fourth dimension feels just as "real" as this, but the rules (Darkness's rules) are considerably different over there:
"The astral world is a 'place' where beings reside when they are not in the physical. The physical world is a 'place' where the same type of beings reside when they are not in the astral. The astral world is a complex place full of subtle entrapments just like the situation here in this physical world. In one sense it is far more deceptive than the physical dimension" (Amitakh Stanford, "The Spirit World").
Along with humans, the Reptilians also exist in both dimensions."

I found this so interesting. A couple of months ago I remember waking up from a dream.. but I found that I couldn't move, and I felt a pressure pushing down on me. I tried to get up but it seemed I was paralysed... and it was SO real. And I remember a buzzing sound, and a light just infront of my face. And then I woke up.. and I could move.. and I felt my eyes opening. And the weirdest thing was that I was looking at the exact same spot that I was when I was "asleep".. SO amazing! Hah. Has anything like this ever happened to you?

Yes. I've had several out-of-body experiences. The above is just standard or common experiences associated with the phenomena.

Well it was the first OBE I've had :)

I have experienced this a number of times. Both my Dad and my sister suffer with it too.
It can be quite unnerving. A couple of times I was sure I WAS dead.

Well I suggest you consider what you experienced to be sensations and occurrences associated with an out-of-body experience, for instance on the way out or on the way back. Those sensations and experiences are not itself an out-of-body experience.
In an out-of-body experience you experience yourself as a nonphysical entity separate and distinct from your physical body. You can move around, think, and so forth when you are conscious enough. You were likely mid reintegrating with your physical body when you 'woke up' from the dream, and were not consciously aware during the out-of-body state.

 Where did you found such a news? people dont be paranoic :)
If your mind wakes up quicker than your body, then your mind cannot exist in the third dimension because your third-dimensional human body is still asleep. Thus, your mind switches to the fourth dimension and is able to experience fourth-dimensional reality.
I would not agree. You are not your mind ! and you do not need phisical body to exist in this world ;)
Right now, we are in the third dimension. And, when we die here, we go to the fourth dimension (the astral world). The fourth dimension feels just as "real" as this, but the rules (Darkness's rules) are considerably different over there:
I would not agree again :) We do exist in at last 5 dimensions at the same time and we are in astral world all the time :) , and Astral world is not darker than this one here ;)
"The astral world is a 'place' where beings reside when they are not in the physical. The physical world is a 'place' where the same type of beings reside when they are not in the astral. Omg so scary! I will never go to astral world! OMG i am in astral world since i was born aaaaaaaa how to run from there? :D

Having hundreds of OOBE i have never meet one, nor i realy care to meet some. Well dogs and cats also exist there :D

...Interesting.
I've had experiences such as those - the most memorable being attacked by a small black figure, almost identical in shape to the "Grey" aliens of poular culture - large upper-head, small body etc.
The thing seemed to sh!t itself when I became aware of what it looked like and promptly departed - I haven't seen its like since.
I'll have to read up on it a little more - I wouldn't rule out it being a projection of subconscious fears/beliefs though, both my own and the collective.

last night i got hit by a trio of sleep paralysis waves before finally managing to get to sleep safely.
i use valerian root to help me get a good night of kip, but just before retiring i ate a couple of tomato.
the valerian root can provide some gentle visuals and last night as i drifted away in came the visuals, but something was different. almost instantly a great wave of pressure seemed to descend on my body and i felt the urge to wake up, but couldn't. as much as i tried to move my body it was impossible. this went on for a while until i managed to move and wake up.
after a while i started to drift off again and the same thing happened, except the visuals were stronger- i was seeing complete images flashing in my head. instead of giving in to panic i decided to ride for a while and find out what happened, however soon the crushing feeling became crazy and i tried to move and wake up fully. i wasn't asleep yet i wasn't awake, it was a state of mind i was used to experiencing. eventually i managed to move and wake up.
once awake i realised how freaky things were and feared somewhat about trying to go to sleep again, but i drifted out quickly. this time i was instantly hit with extremely strong visuals of almost movie quality. then it felt as if my body was no longer controlling my breathing. whenever i breathed out everything went dark and i felt as if i were dead, then i was "allowed" to breathe in and the visuals return. i was really struggling to move and wake up, but was rooted to the spot. then one final image arrived in my mind- it was reptilian-looking coloured blood-red. then all visuals stopped though the paralysis continued for a short time after which i could move and wake up.
now rational speaking i should mention i went without sleep earlier in the week so my sleep pattern was slightly fucked, however i had got plenty of sleep the night before the sleep paralysis, in fact managing to sleep during the day as well. i'm also schizophrenic, however my mental health at the moment is pretty decent- reality is in a typical place at the mo.
so what happened? well i've very occasionally had sleep paralysis before, but not very often. was it something to do with having the death of david carradine in my mind? that might align with the feeling of not being able to control my breathing. was it the combination of valerian root and a couple of tomato? were reptilians trying to invade me? i dunno the answer... any thoughts?

In addition to this - this morning I had a similarly outlandish experience. I was bombarded with a series of highly unpleasant dreams - probably parallel realities, that got worse as they went on. It's been confirmed that my bedroom does harbour the spirit of a quite nasty dead soldier, which accounts for my general bad luck in the place. And I sense a certain demonic (?) activity in the room, and particularly in (at least) one of its parallels.
What happened afterwards was most disturbing - I awoke to "reality" but found myself in a consciously paralyzed state, and this continued in 'layers' of paralyzation until a black band surrounded my head and particularly my ears - a buzzing sound echoed and it completely stopped.
Some sort of extra terrestrail brain implant? A mere hallucination? Really didn't seem so. Particularly how instantly it stopped after the black "device" entered.
Who knows (?)
Sounds like something straight out of a Strieber book though.

Mate, I am in no way quailifed to give my opinion here but what you have written is very interesting. Ive been reading bits and bobs about the hypnogogic (?) state. The space between waking and dreaming. lots of stuff happens to people in that realm but most are afraid to talk of it for fear of being labelled.
recently I have been experiencing hearing voices when Im about to drift off or when I am about to wake. Very clear and definately not my own. My sis gets sleep paralysis and she often mentions not being able to move.
Not sure where the valerian root fits in. its supposed to be good for anxiety isnt it? Maybe ill give it a bit of a go:)

Sleeping paralysis - it happends when your phisical body sleeps! but Your mind stays awaken. It happend every night when we go to sleep but 99.9% of time we just fall into a dreams and we are not aware of it.
You are not able to control breathing becouse Your phisical body sleeps!
When You sleep every night do You control breathing from Your dreams ? ;)
Those images and movie are the state when Your dreams strats, usualy we see dreams from "within" You just saw it as an obserwer. The things You saw was Your dreams and You create it!
If You were watching porn for all the day most likely there would be naked womans, but most likely You were thinking about reptilians so there was reptilian :)

When You sleep Yor phisical senses are off, and nonphisical senses are on, and there is a moment of switching between inner senses and phisical senses.
This black thing is when You turn off phisical eyes and turn on nonphisical, but yet do not start to dream. If You meditate You can do it also, to be in this black thing.
The buzzing sound - its the sound You hear with Your inner senses when You change vibration level to swich from nonphisical body to phisical body there use to be such sound.
The nasty dead solider - i dont want to worry You but most likely he realy is there. Probably he was killed and now he live in astral/etherical dimension somwhere near You and he dont even know that he is dead. It is a very common problem people know fucking nothing about life and death and those are resaults. Poor being ussualy it is a very painfull for them.
I could retrive him, but since he already made some link with You i think that this is the task for You. Find Bruce Moen's books if You want to knwo how to do it and good luck :)

For me it was the opposite - as soon as the black band thingy appeared I instantly broke free of the paralyzation and came back into the pure "physical". Sorta like the black alien thingy I described in my first post in this thread.
Also - I'm wondering why shit like this never seems to happen when I'm drunk, and when it does I seem to have way more control over it. Something to do with the pineal gland maybe (?)

I heard that alcohol lowers your vibrational frequency therefore not allowing you to access the higher dimensions.

If You go from phisical to nonphisical or from nonphisical to phisical You have to pass this state anyway.
Why do You belive that it have anything to do with aliens? Why such idea?

I have no idea why.
When You are drunk alcochol is going out of Your body thorough skin, and it burns etherical and astral body. Your nonphisical self hate alcochol.
I had a long and hard battle and still have it, becouse i love to drink and my energetical body hate it :D

i have had that black creature drag me out of my body a few times. like a black shadow of gollum?
but i haven't seen it in ages. i can chase it by projecting a BOOMING Brian Blessed type voice. "leave me alone"
i have had sleep paralysis almost everytime i sleep for the last week.
apart from the sat night when i had a few beers
if i sleep in the afternoon i get it too.
last night i though i'd fly off up the road but was instantly thown back onto my bed.
when i'm back in my body i can move my lips and breath, so i calm myself and try to move my head. eventually i can.
I normally get a swig of water and give it a few mins before i try to sleep again.
but sometime i just slip back into paralysis. i laugh somtimes and wake up again.
i always get the feeling that someone, who isn't that nice, is behind me but i can't always see who it is.
I don't get too freaked out by it, but it does feel a little odd.
btw this recent spate of this had coincided with having an orgonite pyramid by my bed.

Ive had two experience of sleep paralysis (while hallucinating) and even i am not convinced there is anything sinister to this. I keep an open mind about it but who knows? Ill share my experiences and ask for your opinions :p
The first time this happened i fell asleep on my couch downstairs. I woke up (my mind was definately conscious) and i was paralyzed completely. I could move my eyeballs and blink. I was scared as hell, didnt know what was going on and i started panicking a little.
The door suddenly swung open, and thinking it was my mother (i was 17 at the time, now 22) i tried to scream 'mum?' Only air came out and a shadowy figure came into the room. This figure seemed to have a human shape, but a complete silhouette, completely black. It almost looked like it wasnt solid. It came over, kneeled down beside me. By this time i was SHITTING my pants seriously im not a coward but i was really scared. It seemed to poke me with something then suddenly it was gone and i could move.
The second time this happened i was in my room sleeping and the same shit started to happen. But this time when the door started to swing open i was not scared. I said to myself 'your just hallucinating, just laugh at it and go back to sleep'. So i closed my eyes and bam i fell straight back to sleep almost as soon as i closed my eyes.
I think it was all in my head but theres something niggling at me saying it was feeding on my fear. Im not sure what to make of it, maybe one of you guys knowing a bit more on the subject might be able to point out whether it was sinister or just my mind playing a joke.

I'd like to add here that I've recently noticed - in the last few minutes before I'm asleep, in that sorta semi-conscious hypnotized state, sometimes a bolt of energy will surge through me and my bed will literally move.
Just so I remember.

What is sinister in watching?
what is sinister in being aware?
Do You all think that when You close Your eyes the world stoping to exist?
Do You think that if You dont see nonphisical world such world do not exist around You?
Fear is Your first enemy, its first sentinel of Your prison. Fear was programed in You so You will never have courage to find who You realy are and how poverfull You are. So You have to live being afraid of Your own shadow, You have to be afraid, You can not find the truth.
Becouse if all of us will start to find out who we are and whats going on, all those bastards will loose everything in blink of the eye.

Looks like you all have had lower astral experiences. It seems in that state where people are between waking state and sleeping state, in that sleep paralysis mode, they are most in resonance with that plane. All forms of drugs and alcohol also throw a person into resonance with the astral plane, which is why I believe the government is now going to legalize marijuana, but not without a staged bit of protest on their part.

I know exactly what you mean when you talk about the state between dreaming and being awake, except I don't usually get the paralysis, but if I move too much it goes away. But I've seen some right freaky shit in that state, like someone climbing through my window, a really tall dark figure facing sideways that didn't move... I've also seen bodies on my floor when I was younger.. AND a tarantula like apparition zipped into existance and started floating slowly from the bottom of my bed to my head, now that was scary (fuckin hate spiders)!! - stuart wilde talks about these etherical spiders that vamp your energy too.
It's bizarre, but I think it's a empowering practice to get your conscious mind into that trance state via meditation.

i've had experiences like this for as long as i can remember. Most of the time they are positive and immensely enjoyable, but now and then i will have quite a traumatic episode and have to force myself awake just to escape. I also find if i'm having deep issues in my everyday life i won't have as much if any control over these lucid states.
Very interesting hearing other peoples experiences:)

One time I awoke from a dead sleep... my room is pitch black at night. I have my windows covered up. So I noticed I couldn't move, and I could see this black bubble moving towards me slowly. It was blacker than the dark!
So not being able to moved scared the hell out of me. I yelled " Get out of here now! This is my house and you aren't welcome here!" It disappeared and I was able to move again.
Weird stuff.
I've also felt a few times as if I was leaving my body. But when I awake I get sucked back in. What is happening to me?

When you sleep your brain turns off your ability to control your muscles. This is what prevents your body from physically moving around from impulses from the brain during sleep.
After you are asleep your astral body will exit your physical body via your solar plexus and move off into the astral. Your consciousness and awareness moves with the astral body, as the physical body is just a vessel, and at this point is a connector to your energy.
Sleep paralysis takes place when astral body has moved back into your physical body, or often while you are just above your body preparing to re-enter, but your conscious mind awakens, in essentially a lucid state.
You try to control your physical body but find you cannot, because your muscles are still experiencing sleep paralysis.
When your astral body is near to your physical body, there is a very strong suction effect of your body trying to pull your astral body back in. This often brings on the feeling of being pulled and unable to move.
It is in this time period where the conscious mind is viewing either darkness from within the body's closed eyes, or is looking out into the astral.
Should you see a reptilian or any other spirit in this state, rest assured it is not a 'dream' but is what is currently taking place in the astral surrounding your bed.
While someone is in this state, they are prone to being manipulated. Bullies like reptilians will use it to their advantage to steal energy from you. This is accomplished utilizing fear.
It is normal for people to fear during sleep paralysis, as they do not understand why it is happening, or they cannot control how to get out of it. The fear can of course be magnified should one consciously see someone manipulating them.
So here's how to get out of sleep paralysis. It works every time 100%
It is extremely easy to do. If you read this and commit it to memory, you will find yourself doing it every time you are paralyzed IF YOU WANT TO. You could always just lay there and enjoy the respite, try to use it as a chance to go out of body while conscious, or simply to communicate with a spirit fucking with you.
What you do is simple:
Focus all of your attention on one of your fingers. Wiggle it. shake it. Move the finger.
Then start moving your hand and shaking your hand.
Then start moving your arm and shaking your arm.
By the time you reach your body you will shake the paralysis off and wake up.
It probably won't take you more than a few seconds to accomplish it. Sometimes it takes longer. Just remember not to be afraid.

I had sleep paralysis yesterday, it was late afternoon and I had fallen asleep for around just under 2 hours. But except I was not awake when the sleep paralysis occurred I was still asleep, in some sort of nightmare.
At the beginning of the nightmare, I remember seeing two alien faces (they looked like the Greys mostly), a bright star, and an assortment of colours in the air, and around everything. I was in my bed, though my room looked a bit different, like it was in the past, a different arrangement of furniture.
But anyway in the sleep paralysis, I was calling for help, though I was not very loud, my voice was strained, like I had a really bad case of tonsilitus. On numerous occasions I imagined myself moving for the door, I actually believed I had slowly and with great effort got up, but each time I reached the door, I was back in my bed, and had not moved an inch. But the fear I felt during this was nothing like I ever felt before, there was nothing on my chest, but I remember that breathing was quite difficult, though I didn't feel like I was going to die, just the most immense fear.
Though it is interesting that earlier that day, I was watching youtube video's on ufo's and its relation to the bible, there was nothing on sleep paralysis or alien abduction, but when watching it and taking alll the information in, it felt like my mind was broken, it wasn't a headache, but it literally felt like my brain was falling apart.

I'd like to know what that is too, it happened to me when I didn't even close my eyes to sleep. I had went in my room, layed down and just kept looking into at the air for bout a minute then all of the sudden my chest bulged out and I couldn't move or anything. I tryed to scream and it felt like something was stopping me from screaming for help. My legs, head, and arms were pinned down. When it stopped I saw on my left side a tornado shaped black mass, sort of like a shadow but thicker and darker. Someone told me it was that sleep paralysis thing but wtf was the black mass that flew away from me as I broke free?!?! I talked to a friend about it who is into parapsychology and he said it was a "shadow walker". Anyone else heard of that term?
One time it happened in the light, I was dozing off but afraid to close my eyes because of what had happened before. Bam! It happened again and I when I broke free, lo and behold... a black mass flying upward and away.. I never slept in the dark since, though it doesn't always help. I always have some kind of light or television on. Lol sounds bad I know but that feeling blows and I feel like I am being watched if I sleep alone in the dark.

I have suffered sleep paralysis ever since I was around 9-10 yrs. old. When I wake up in this state, I feel an intoxicating sensation, which strangely seems to come from inside my left ear. Part of me just wants to go with this feeling and at the same time is a sense of urgency to fight it. I have not been able to sleep at night since I was a kid because of this. Also, if I have an episode and come out of it and fall back asleep, I go right back into that state.
I share this with a former roommate and discovered when it happened one night that I am able to get out the word "Help!" although my friend said it sounded weird, like I had a hard time speaking, which I did. That right there tells me that I am not having a dream. I knew I was saying help and she heard it. I find it odd that supposedly millions of people all over the world are basically having the same "dream". That to me is unbelievable. I've read where supposedly our body is still alseep in a paralized state, otherwise we might act out our dreams. Excuse me, but many people toss, turn and do complete circles in their bed while asleep, so that theory is also unbelievable to me.
Personally, I have come to believe it is one of two things. Either it's a black government project and they're causing this or it is an alien attack, which I really believe they are the fallen angels posing as aliens. In either case, they're still connected to one another, because the goverment is involved with "aliens" and ufo's. One thing's for sure, it is NOT just a dream. Has anyone else thought about this?

When I go into sleeping paralysis I don't get the darkness feeling anymore. I get the white light where i have access to all dimensions. But now my next fear is my own physical self. It's naturally inbuilt deep within our unconcious mind that our soul is to stay in the physical body and when you lived on one dimensional plane all your life as your only awareness, it's like flying of earth! it can be that scary. I've major astral experiences as a child where im only starting to remaster now:D I haven't accomplished it fully yet. But if you and I are all open together we can not only move ourselves and each other but the whole universe together.
The ego always holds you back. So we all have to work on our realising we are not just phyiscal beings and we exist in all dimension beyond time and distance!
If we can do this, this world would be closer to heaven on earth.

About a year ago I read a book called 'Brother Odd'. It is a work of fiction but has a lot of fact woven into it. In that book, the central character Odd Thomas (a monk) who has psychic ability can see dark shadowy creatures that congregate just before a death or calamity will occur. He goes from place to place to warn people about impending disaster in the hope of saving lives. In the book he reassures the other people that the creatures do not cause any harm but they feed on the fear and sadness and other negative emotion. If there are many creatures congregating, it means it will be a big thing, multiple deaths etc.
Maybe the author knows something about this????

Before i even knew about reptilians and this site i had an experience with a 'reptilian' /alien being.
I have it written down somewhere but i will tell the brief version as i remember.
I remember drifting off to sleep then feeling something enter the room and it went very cold, i then felt my legs feel squashed and i couldn't move them, i wanted to speak but i couldn't( but it wasnt like sleep paralysis i have had before were i have panicked and wanted to scream but couldn't, i was more curious), at first i felt abit panicky but then i felt like whatever it was made me go back to sleep. Now the next part i cant go into to much detail because of obvious reasons of graphic detail:eek: but i was layed in sand somewhere in a different world, both worlds kept merging and it seems that whatever it was was on a time limit and was trying to not be 'caught' and whatever this 'thing' was was trying to rape me, it kept fading in and out of human flesh were it would let me look at it, but then it would turn back into an alien/reptilian type being although i could only see its arms at this point, the others would hold my head down whenever i tried to look at this beings face so i only ever saw its arms. Even though it was 'raping' me, i felt a connection to it afterwards, i felt very mixed up in my head, i didnt feel anger or pain, just confusion and very sexual. when i woke up STRAIGHT afterwards i could not move my legs for at least 8 mins afterwards, i began to panic and then whatever it was left.

This is a pretty interesting post given the repeated experience I have had in the past. I usually would wake up paralyzed with my eyes barely open. I would see the general outline of things in my room, but they would be a little fuzzy kind of similar to when you have poor television station reception. I would hear a rumbling/growling sound. I fought to wake the rest of me up because I new the feeling all around me... It was pure evil. On the nights it would happen I would have to make sure that I got out of bed and shook it off. If I didn't and I allowed myself to go back to sleep it would happen over and over again like I was switching from one state to the next. You would think I would be smart enough to get myself out of bed and shake it off before going back to sleep, but it was so hard to get myself out of bed once it occurred the first time. I would feel so tired and lethargic. Never at any time did I fell pinned down. It was like my consciousness had made connection with my sense of sight and my sense of hearing, but physical feeling from my nerves was non existent. I could sense emotional vibrations like the evil I mentioned before.
Does anyone know the explanation for the phenomenon of being pushed down during sleep-paralysis? I´ve experienced it too, and it was very strange and scary. It didn´t feel like somebody weighing me down, rather like an evenly distributed but very strong gravitational pull...?

the idea is that its just your mind waking up before your body, and thus you're mind is part awake/part dreaming and your body is still sleeping.
I think there's a little more to it. There are certain themes that are common place all throughout history. One is the night hag (witch lady) and one is the fury creature thing.
I've had it where it's like a gravitational pull also. When I Lucid dream I often get the pull but it fully sucks me in to a dream. It may be your conciousness getting stuck or something.
its real.
In Arabic, a Djinn (also jinn, genie, from Arabic جني jinnī) is a supernatural creature which occupies a parallel world to that of mankind, and together with humans and angels makes up the three sentient creations of Allah. Possessing free will, Djinn can be either good or evil.
They live among us and already lived here before menkind was created.
The Djinn are mentioned frequently in the Qur'an, and there is a Surah entitled Al-Jinn. While Christianity maintains that Lucifer was an angel that rebelled against God's orders, Islam maintains that Iblis was a Djinn who had been granted special privilege to live amongst angels prior to his rebellion. Although some scholars have ruled that it is apostasy to disbelieve in one of God's creations; the belief in Jinn has fallen comparably to the belief in angels in other Abrahamic traditions.
Etymology and definitions
The word genie derives from Latin genius, which meant a sort of tutelary or guardian spirit thought to be assigned to each person at their birth. English borrowed the French descendent of this word, génie; its earliest written attestation in English, in 1655, is a plural spelled genyes. The French translators of The Book of One Thousand and One Nights used génie as a translation of jinnī because it was similar to the Arabic word in sound and in meaning. This use was also adopted in English and has since become dominant.
The Arabic root JNN means "hidden, concealed", as in the verb janna "to hide, to conceal". (This is not to be confused with the Arabic word jannah, which means "paradise"). Arabic lexicons, such as William Lane's lexicon provide the rendered meaning of jinn not only for spirits, but also for anything concealed through time, status, and even physical darkness. In Arabic, the word jinn is plural; jinnī is the singular (and adjective). The feminine form is jinnīyah.
In other cultures, as in the Mythology Guanche (Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain), also existed the belief in beings that qualify as genies, such as the so-called Gods paredros or Maxios (domestic spirits and nature), the Tibicenas (evil genies) and also demon Guayota (aboriginal god of evil) that, like the Arabic Iblis, is sometimes identified with a genie. The Guanches were of Berber origin in northern Africa which further strengthens this hypothesis.
Jinn in the pre-Islamic era
Amongst archaeologists dealing with ancient Middle Eastern cultures, any spirit lesser than angels is often referred to as a djinn, especially when describing stone carvings or other forms of art.
The pre-Islamic Zoroastrian culture of ancient Persia believed in jaini/jahi, evil female spirits thought to spread diseases to people. However, Zoroaster himself did not believe in the existence of such evil female spirits.
Inscriptions found in Northwestern Arabia seem to indicate the worship of djinn, or at least their tributary status. For instance, an inscription from Beth Fasi'el near Palmyra pays tribute to the "Ginnaye", the "good and rewarding gods"[9] providing a sharp resemblance to the Latin Genius and Juno: The Guardian Spirits.
Types of djinn include the Shaitan, the Ghul, the Marid, the Ifrit and the Jinn. According to the information in The Arabian Nights, Ifrit seem to be the strongest form of djinn, followed by Marid, and then the rest of the djinn forms.
Jinn in the Bible
In several verses in Old Arabic and Old Persian Bible translations, the words: Jinn(جن) Jaann(الجان) Majnoon(مجنون) and Iblees(ابلیس) are mentioned as translations of familiar spirit or אוב(obe) for Jaann and the devil or διάβολος diabolos for Iblees ديأبليس.
In Cornelius Van Allen Van Dyck's Arabic translation of the Bible these words are mentioned in Lev 19:31, Lev 20:6, 1Sa 28:3, 1Sa 28:7, 1Sa 28:9, 1Ch 10:13, Mat 4:1, Mat 12:22, Luk 4:5, Luk 8:12, Joh 8:44 and other verses as well.
Jinn in Islam
In Islamic theology jinn are said to be creatures with free will, made from 'smokeless fire' by Allah in the same way humans were made of earth.[10] According to the Qur'an, Djinn have free will, and Iblis used this freedom in front of Allah by refusing to bow to Adam when Allah told Iblis to do so. By disobeying Allah, he was thrown out of Paradise and called “Shaitan”. Djinn are frequently mentioned in the Qur'an, Sura 72 of the Qur'an (named Al-Jinn) is entirely about them. Another Sura (Al-Nas) mentions Djinn in the last verse. The Qur’an also mentions that Muhammad was sent as a prophet to both “humanity and the Djinn”.
Similar to humans, jinn have free will allowing them to follow any religion they choose. They are usually invisible to humans and humans do not appear clear to them. However, jinn often harass and even possess humans, for various reasons, such as romantic infatuation, revenge, or because of a deal made with a practitioner of black magic. Jinns have the power to travel large distances extremely quickly and live in remote areas, mountains, seas, trees, and the air, in their own communities. Like humans, jinns will also be judged on the Day of Judgment and will be sent to Heaven or Hell according to their deeds.
Qareen
Every person is assigned a special jinn to them, also called a qareen, the jinns that whisper into your soul and tell you to give into your evil desires. Muhammad's jinn turned into a Muslim jinn, on the recitation of the Qur'an, as the jinn found it very beautiful. However, the notion of a qareen is not universally accepted amongst all Muslims.
The social organization of the jinn community resembles that of humans - such as they have kings, courts of law, weddings, and mourning rituals.
Muhammad reportedly divided jinn into three classes: those who have wings and fly in the air, those who resemble snakes and dogs, and those who travel about ceaselessly. Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud (d. 652), who was accompanying Muhammad when the jinn came to hear his recitation of the Quran, described them as creatures of different forms; some resembling vultures and snakes, others tall black men in white garbs. T
hey may even appear as dragons, onagers, or a number of other animals. In addition to their animal forms, the jinn occasionally assume human form to mislead and destroy their human victims. One such jinni who had assumed the form of a beautiful woman was identified because of her beastly feet by her human victim, who killed her by throwing a rope around her neck and dragging her behind his camel.
This type of jinn is called mardāzmā, (tester of men) among the Baluch people. Muhammad is also said to have told the jinn that they may subsist on bones, which will grow flesh again as soon as they touch them, and that their animals may live on dung, which will revert back to grain or grass for the use of the jinn flocks.
Ibn Taymiyyah believed the Jinn were generally "ignorant, untruthful, oppressive and treacherous".[26]
Muslims believe that the Jinn account for much of the "magic" perceived by humans, cooperating with magicians to lift items in the air unseen, delivering hidden truths to fortune tellers, and mimicking the voices of deceased humans during seances.[26]
[edit] Islamic concept of King Solomon and Djinn
Main article Islamic view of Solomon
The Quran states that King Solomon (Sulayman) is said to have compelled the Djinn into his service and given them dominion over 25 parasangs of his realm.[27] In his court, the Djinn stood behind the learned humans, who in turn, sat behind the prophets. Solomon’s wife, the Queen of Sheba, was reportedly born of the marriage between a Djinn and a human, some sources suggesting a Djinn named Rayḥāna was her mother. It was this connection to the Djinn that made people apprehensive about Solomon’s marriage to her. They feared that if their master Solomon married a half-Djinn, they would be forced to remain in the service of the offspring of that marriage forever. Thus, to make Solomon fall out of love with her, they told him that she was insane, and that her feet were hairy and resembled those of a donkey.[28]
The Djinn remained in the service of Solomon, who had placed them in bondage, and had ordered their king, Zūba’a, to perform a number of tasks throughout his life. Upon Solomon’s death, however, Zūbaa went to the places where his subjects were toiling, and called out to them to stop working. They happily obeyed, and one of them carved a message in stone, enumerating what they had built during their servitude.
The evil ones among them are being worshipped by the occult societies in exchange for favours.

Once I had sleep paralysis and "woke" to see a very tall skinny hooded figure bent over me at a 90 degree angle. It appeared to be trying to pull me from bed and it seemed as though my arms were lifted up and stuck mid-air. At the time I felt it was a negative experience and kept saying "no" over and over until I regained control of my body. (I couldn't physically say no but tried and mostly said it inside instead.)
Now that I've read Monroe's books on OBEs, I think it might have just been my "other" (astral) self and I didn't recognize it. Or it may possibly have been a "helper," trying to take me off for a night's lesson.

I woke up to find a demon at the end of my bed: One woman's terrifying account of a sleep disorder that afflicts millions
Hannah Foster was lying in bed with her eyes open. She could see by the clock that it was 3am, but something was very wrong - she couldn’t move a muscle of her body. Even worse, she could sense something pressing down on her and she was struggling to breathe.
Consumed by panic, she tried to scream, but nothing happened.
It felt like a nightmare, but she knew that it wasn’t, because she was too alert and she recognised her green flowery duvet and the wooden floor of her room.

Suddenly, she was able to move again and the feeling of pressure vanished. But she was left terrified, shaking and gasping for air.
‘It was like nothing I’d ever experienced before,’ recalls the 25-yearold from Brighton. ‘After a normal day at work, I went to bed around 11pm, as always, and the next thing I remember is waking up, basically paralysed.
‘It was terrifying. And the more I panicked, the more it felt like I couldn’t breathe properly.’
What happened to Hannah might sound like something from a gruesome horror film, but it is in fact very real - she was experiencing a fascinating phenomenon called Sleep Paralysis (SP).

Just as surprising, it is very common, explains Chris French, Professor of Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London. Studies suggest that around 40 per cent of the general population experience SP at least once in their lifetime.
‘During an SP episode - which can last for anything between a few seconds and several minutes - a person is in a state where they are half awake and half asleep; sometimes they are able to open their eyes, but they’re aware they can’t move,’ he says.
An unlucky few can have repeated attacks in one night or several times a week. In extreme cases, people can find their lives heavily disrupted by SP.
‘Sufferers may be reluctant to talk of
their experiences, for fear of being shunned or ridiculed as “crazy”,’ he says. ‘This can lead to social isolation and even marital breakdown.’
Sleep paralysis occurs during the REM (rapid eye movement) period of sleep. There are five stages of sleep, during the first four your brain and heart rates slow down.
Then you enter a period of REM sleep - the fifth stage - where your brain is active and you experience-vivid dreams. ‘During this time the muscles are temporarily paralysed, probably as a protective mechanism to stop the sleeper acting out their dreams,’ says Professor French, who is the leading UK authority on the subject.
‘But with SP sufferers, for reasons we don’t understand, something goes awry with the process and the sleeper becomes consciously aware of that temporary paralysis.’
Being unable to move is disturbing enough in itself, but around 5 per cent of people can also experience horrific visual hallucinations of dark shadows, lights or monstrous figures; a sense of something or someone else in the room; a feeling of pressure on your chest; and difficulty breathing or hearing footsteps or voices.
Some suffers can have hallucinations about movement - such as being touched or dragged down the bed. It has even been suggested as a real cause, due to reports of alien abduction in the U.S.
Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1233975/I-woke-demon-end-bed-One-womans-terrifying-account-sleep-disorder-afflicts-millions.html#ixzz0Z4bZxsTb
There are various possible causes. ‘Anything that disrupts the sleep cycle can make SP more likely to happen, for example shift work, jet lag and stress,’ says Professor French.
Alcohol and caffeine can also disrupt the sleep cycle - as can certain medications. Another risk factor is sleeping on one’s back, because this is associated with sleep apnoea (a condition which causes interruptions in breathing during sleep), which may be linked to SP.
Although it is not known why, SP typically starts in adolescence or young adulthood. And while many people just grow out of it, it can also last a lifetime.
‘Unfortunately, a lot of the public and many health professionals have never heard of or don’t understand the condition, which can lead to a real danger of misdiagnosis,’ says Professor French.
‘Sometimes people may be diagnosed with stress. In extreme cases, they may be diagnosed with psychological problems or even schizophrenia.
‘But I want people to know that if they experience this they’re not going crazy, nor are they being attacked by spirits or abducted by aliens.’
After Hannah experienced SP for the first time in 2005, she confided in her work colleagues. It transpired that one of them had a family member who also suffered from the phenomenon.
A month or two later, Hannah experienced her second episode while staying with her boyfriend Tom, 24. This time, she also experienced hallucinations.
‘The second time, I knew what was happening - but as well as the paralysis, I also saw a terrifying black figure.
‘It looked a bit like a demon - with a scrunched, ugly face, like a gargoyle. I tried to scream and move away from it.
‘Then, once again, the paralysis and hallucination suddenly went. I woke Tom, who knew I’d experienced SP before, and he helped me calm down. If it hasn’t happened to you, though, it’s hard to imagine just how scary it is. It was terrifying.’
Since then, Hannah has experienced an attack every couple of months, though there is no set pattern to the episodes.
‘Sometimes the demon-like figure is there and at other times I just experience the paralysis,’ she explains.
‘Sometimes I also feel like I’m being pushed down into the bed by the hallucinatory figure, which is awful.’
While there is no cure, the problem is treatable - so it’s worth going to see your GP. ‘Often, simply telling people what it is they’re experiencing can help,’ says Professor French.
‘But from a practical point of view, it’s important to exercise, eat well, avoid stress wherever possible, establish a regular sleep pattern and avoid disruptions to the sleep cycle.
‘Once an episode has stopped, it’s advisable to get up and walk around to wake up fully. This has been found to reduce the risk of going back into an episode, which can happen.
‘In severe cases, people may need counselling or psychotherapy to deal with stress - either that which could be triggering sleep paralysis or the worry of having an attack.’
Any drugs which suppress REM sleep (such as some antidepressants) will suppress-SP, too, but may well have other side effects - such as nausea or increased fatigue - so should be avoided if possible, says Professor French.
But there are more immediate techniques of dealing with the condition.
‘Most people try their hardest to move even a finger or toe, which can break the “spell”, as the small muscles of the body are not completely paralysed during REM sleep.
‘It is sometimes useful for people to contact other sufferers for advice and support, which is easily done via the internet.’
Hannah believes that her attacks were triggered by the stress of leaving university and starting work in PR.
She has developed her own technique for coping with it. ‘Each time it happens, I tell myself not to panic, that it’s not real.
‘But even though I know rationally what’s going on, it can still be pretty frightening.
‘I don’t know if the episodes will ever stop, but I won’t let myself get stressed about it - I’m sure that only makes it worse.
‘Knowing there are other people out there going through the same thing really helps.’

i don't (and haven't) suffered from sleep paralysis, but i've had a couple of experiences- such as waking up pretty often between the 3-4 am hour and feeling like someone's watching me. this has only happened when i was lucid dreaming. when i was younger i had some eerie experiences involving dark entities but that does not happen to me anymore- i remember one particular 'dream' where i could see myself walking (astrally) outside our building compund, and looking in through one of the windows of a neighbour's flat to see a frail being (if i could best describe it, i'd say it resembled the human aura) looking over one of the sleeping kids. it wasn't evil, just pretty spooky.
Maybe the author knows something about this????
sounds like something i should get to reading asap.

I've been experiencing sleep paralysis for as long as I can remember and not once have I encountered anything demonic or negative beside me but my mum always has a presence in her room when she gets sleep paralysis. I experience what can only be described as a split in consciousness. One part of me is aware i cannot move and aware of my surroundings, my bed, my room and my body, and another part of me is experiencing a "dream" similtaneously. Only on one or two occassions has the dream state been negative. I've seen some stunning places in these states, words couldn't even begin to describe them, i've never seen anything that can be described as "alien" although i have seen some enourmous snakes on my travels, but i'm not frightened by them, i've "communicated" with them and they do not do me any harm, in a couple of the more vivid experiences that stay firm in my memory, i have stood in front of other people to stop the snakes getting to them because they don't seem to attack when I am there.
I've read up on sleep paralysis and the most common version is something weighing you down on your bed or being aware of some dark entity by your side, but not a lot of info on positive experiences. Has anybody else had sleep paralysis without the negative part?

I have had the paralysis without the negative. It only occurs on waking from one particular dream and it is nutty and iv'e had it since childhood so hang with me here.In my dream im watching a fellow who looks a lot like Dali painting the sky with random things warriors from past times, elephants, flowers,I am sitting on "nothing" and silently watching then the Dali'ish man steps back from his work and exclaims "no it isn't right!" Then a VERY large and very real bird casts a shadow over his painted land.At this point the dream is lucid I can fee the sun that isn't there dim on my skin and the breeze off the bird...and then I wake but cannot move or breathe but im not afraid.

Experienced this a few summers, this is common when I have been out al lday in the hot, hot sun. I have had some fantastic experiences.
Yeah, so I've had this once, a few weeks back.
Fairly similar to much of the other descriptions I've read here and there.
Early morning I "wake up" to something literally Raping me, sexually like, and for the first split second I am enjoying the experience before I realise whats going on, and the fact that I cant move, I have intense pressure downwards on my chest and theres a great big tall mass of "black" risen above me frigging around with me.
I cant even talk - as I attempt to scream out to try and "wake up" properly. In a split second I go from a state of sheer panic to sheer determination and end up fighting this off with a ridiculous amount of effort and eventually physically waking up - being able to move etc.
Afterwards I wasnt overly bothered by the experience, I just retain a strong sense that if I hadn't have fought as hard as I did to get out of it then...well I dunno WHAT would've happened.
Also someone mentioned the waking up between 3 and 4 am thing...this happens nigh on EVERY night for me, I always thought it strange but then I seen some movie which puts great significance on the 3-3.30am time period - The Exorcism Of Emily Rose it might have been. Probably has no real significance but it freaked me out when I saw the film.

Interesting to read that others have had similar experiences, i wonder what what it is... especially as most people feel it swings from them enjoying it, to realizing its something not good!

I forgot to mention that this happened( i think its AFTER will have to check)what others have describe to me as a 'spiritual awakening' basically i was asleep in my room, i woke up and i felt like no way to explain this other than the world had died, everything was cold and silent. i have had this before when their has been earth tremors so the next thing i noticed was that my room began to shake, i could not control my legs, by this point i started to panic as i remember feeling like something was trying to pull me out of my physical body and i was just trying to concentrate on breathing. I was 19/20 when this happened and i was terrified that i woke my mother up and had to stay in her bed that night as i felt if i didn't something would gain control over me and take me 'away' .. i remember walking from my bedroom to my mothers and saying i was off balance is an understatement, i literally thought there was a bad earthquake until my mother said it was just me, i woudlnt of belived her if it wasnt for the expression on her face. Next what happened was small blue lights came into the room, i would guess at around 12 , not in any pattern though jumping all over the place. My mother also saw these! which i find bizzare if it was a spiritual awakening. By this point i was sat up trying to breath properly as i felt whatever it was had 'changed my heart beat' ( i have had tons of people on other forums say that i should of gone to doctors as it could of been a medical problem, i went and nothing came up, it WAS NOT a panic attack as i have had those in the past' My mother was shouting at the lights to leave me alone, they stayed for around an hour from what i remember, i just remember staring at them and trying to figure out were they were coming from, we looked outside and no lights or anything. After a while i felt extremely exhausted and decided to go to sleep IN my mothers bed as i still presumed that i would wake up in the morning and the something major had happened in the world. Well when i shut my eyes this was my first experience of seeing 'symbols' i get this quite frequently now, i close my eyes and it is like staring down one of those kaleidoscope's(think thats the right one?) tribally type symbols merging and and out of each other. i didnt manage to draw any of the symbols that night but since then i take advantage of the situation and try to remember at least 2 of them that i can draw afterwards. One of which resembles a type of Zuni sun symbol, its the nearest symbol i can find that matches it.

The thing is, about the "negative entity" experience... it is usually simply your conscious mind labeling what it can not understand. I believe SP is you leaving your body, but waking up in the process. We attribute death and anything having to do with us leaving our body as bad and negative. It's logical to me that we would see a dark figure or ominous presence there, when it is really simply that separate part of us outside our body. We don't understand it, so we tend to label what we don't understand as being something that might hurt us, until we understand it better.

Yeah I would agree with that, i also believe that you will only be exposed to what you "carry" with you or what you believe may happen in death, ie if you fear death/the unknown based on what you have been taught etc.
"When you start on your journey to Ithaca,
then pray that the road is long,
full of adventure, full of knowledge.
Do not fear the Lestrygonians
and the Cyclopes and the angry Poseidon.
You will never meet such as these on your path,
if your thoughts remain lofty, if a fine emotion
touches your body and your spirit.
You will never meet the Lestrygonians,
the Cyclopes and the fierce Poseidon,
if you do not carry them within your soul,
if your soul does not raise them up before you"

it's usually the moment when you leave the safety of your own body going into REM sleep mode, when the body is at the moment of rest the moment a negative entity can attack, the response for a victim of sleep paralisis can think what the hell is going on? but infact the level of conciousness has take a turn opening up a door for these dimensional beings to travel to.
it gos to say that during our lifes we defend ourselfs in many ways conciously to deal with an attack in the physical world, but when it comes to some people in the spiritial world in out of body experience, metaphysical, the spirit has not really got a chance to defend it's self just because it's constantly used to the soul's attatchment to the human body, thus sometimes in paralisis mode one cannot raise an arm or a leg to defend from such an attack, in this sleep state the experiences can be induced by "Fight" or "Flight" responses.
I would think it's becoming widespread because of the changes in society, subconciously people are being brainwashed to accept new agendas that have been forced upon one's psyche through TV, whatever medium is used to create such phobias will have those effects that the person chooses to avoid.

I had something like this recently. I was out of body sitting up and I could see the room around me. There were openings in places on the walls where there aren't any. I guess this was the 4th dimension or something. My body felt paralyzed and at this point I heard a demonic voice telling me it's going to 'take my heart'. I said no you're not. I couldn't see this thing whatever it was. Really bizarre. After I woke my chest felt heavy all day like something pushing me down. I felt depressed the whole day. Something must've happened to my heart chakra. Before all this I was reading into satanic ritual abuse. Must've attracted some negative entities.

I had many various experiences when I first started reading about Astral Projection and following certain mind excercises to help me Astral Project. Stuff like: waking up unable to move and hearing roaring in the ears, loud bangs, roaring like a rocket, after this then find myself out of my body but sometimes unable to move. Felt like someone pressing down on me etc.
These are common symptoms related to the Etheric/Astral bodies leaving the physical body.
One time I recall after watching "Communion" the film from the book by Whitley Strieber - I woke and had that experience in which he was being carried by those small aliens - it was identical and I recall thinking that it was just like out of the film. Just as you have and many others, it's auto-suggestion!
There is something that happens to the mind when the etheric/astral body seperates and we are concious of it strange things occur - they used to call them Incubus Succubus! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Succubus
The ignorant mind thinks they are evil spirits trying to posses the body: when in truth they are figments of the mind that do not really exist! Merely symptoms of Etheric/Astral body leaving the physical.

Leaving the body I feel the same things, swaying, vibrations, loud noises etc. The negative entities aren't always imagined. They exist in the lower astral planes and can manifest as anything. They get a laugh of out frightening people and if you feel fear like I did it's like a magnet for them. The fear I experienced probably led to the paralysis and upset the balance in my chakras causing me to feel bad the whole day.

I have been recording my dreams for long time. I have found that what happens in your dreams does definately effect the mood that you wake up in and through the day. There is a definite correlation.

Interesting thread!
I'm 22 and have been lucid dreaming since I was about 5 and experiencing sleep paralysis (SP) for as long. I've never quite got over the fear or mastered waking back into my body on demand. SP normally starts when I "wake" and attempt to flick a light switch - it never works. I realise I'm not actually in my body and sometimes look back and see my body on my bed. I'm able to see in the dark in this state. I have had the body pressure feeling, electric shocks and heard loud rustling and dragging forces during SP. I have found that I can now interact with time and move backwards, but not forwards through it.
Last night, I had an unsettling experience. A very organised group, 2 women and 1 man (human forms) approached me while in SP and sat around me in a lit environment that I materialised to comfortably host them in - this was not lucid dreaming, I was definitely in SP. They posed questions about why I was investigating certain issues, what I knew and what I aspired to do with the knowledge. I sensed that their questions were leading and contained planted trigger words. I told them that I thought that they were conducting remote NLP on me and asked them to leave. I could tell that these were not characters of my creating. Has anybody experienced any interactions like this?

It has an its appears to be related to your stage in life ,for the most part Growth. As u can imagine experiences like this and many others are neccessary to integrate the varous dimensions in man together.Remember that sleep is about recovery and repair in the main but as a human there are many aspects of life that are not physical or chemical so in dreams any shocks or impressions of any type, phobia's Doubts etc will also be being recovered from or dealt with.

i have sleep paralysis all the time and probably again tonight...
my mind wakes up while my body is asleep and i know someone is hovering next to me. i hear buzzing and ringing sounds while i try and scream but my lips are not moving. i see the room clearly around me but my eyes are closed!
but there is a dark greyish human like figure lying next to me often from behind me although it does move itself and me around ,its also silent being. i feel its hands and legs in my bed. i am scared but it is only my own fear that i am afraid of this creature does not try and harm me it knows i am paralyed and comforts me by hugging me and by stroking my head. weird i know. i wish i knew why this was happening to me.
i also feel a strong presence while am am trying to go to sleep. if you what its like to have that sense when you just know someone is there. i hear voices too sometimes these two senses are so strong that they wake me up or just scare the hell out of me!
there are many other supernatural things happening to me and my brother in the day time too.

I remember the first time that this happened to me I was at University in my room alone, I was staring at my window in my room when I realised I could not move and I could sense a presence coming towards me from the opposite direction it crawled up my bed and I could physically feel the covers moving much like a cat was on the bed only in feeling but the presence felt like and old women finally I felt a pressure in my chest pushing me into my bed. When I could move I realised I had been staring at the same spot as when I was asleep and now awake nothing had changed. This made me believe this was so real, when it happened I was so scared and had trouble falling asleep.
To my surprise after researching it I found my experience to be common and not unique at all.
Now I have always had an open mind before becoming more consciously aware whenever this then happened to me to relax I recited prayers even though im not religious it was the only thing I knew that would distract me from concentrating on the dark presence around me and relax me enough so I could concentrate on a part of my body to move.
Once I was comfortable with being in that state right before you can move my thoughts were that I knew that this presence could not harm me and on one occasion I remember I pirate type figure trying to hack at me with a axe but it never scared me as it seemed to be going on in the background I knew it was there but took no notice of it.
Being in that state still scares me a bit but I am way more comfortable with it, the feeling of being half awake and asleep makes the brain feel dizzy an uncomfortable. Now I am wayyy more consciously aware I really want this to happen to me again, I never try to fight these dark forces as I am more than aware that they are more powerful than me or used to being in that relm so instead of trying to take it on I ignore it. I want to be in that state again to explore the astral world as I feel I have a better understanding of what that world is like.
I would describe the out of body feeling as being able to think and feel without using your body, we can all feel the presence that is there without it touching us we just know its there. Also the feeling of trying to talk or scream is something which we associate with our bodies which is why it’s the first thing we try to do. Reading a lot of Terrance McKenna’s accounts of DMT experiences he said these things he came into conatct with communicated through making these bubbles so next time this happens to me I want to be able to communicate with whatever I come into contact with.
Its weird because I can imagine when you die in this world and then exist on another frequency we again have to learn what that is almost like being a baby learning how to walk and talk again and as you are alone I can imagine that to be a very odd experience as you learn to control your being or soul while everything else whizzes past you. Clearly the more prepared or consciously aware you are the more chance you will have when passing into these other dimensions. I can imagine we are easy targets to manipulate because everything we learn and we are taught in the mainstream is far from the truth.
However knowing something an experiencing it are two totally different things I believe in Aliens but if I actually saw one that feeling of fear and being scared my heart beating fast would all happen in an instant. One thing I want to be able to do is control my emotions in cases like this, although I have lots of knowledge applying it in physical situations is very hard an would take a lot of practice. I guess the same would apply when being in these out of body states.

It's reassuring to know that this happens to so many people, but the question that I always have is; what should we do with the experience? I have never been further than the confines of my house when in SP. How do you guys think we should progress with this state? I travel simply by walking as you would in ordinary life - can any of you travel faster, by thought alone? or simply manifest a place that you think of?
If this is a genuine experience of the astral world (and I believe it is, albeit distorted by the attachment to your physical body), how can we put this to good use to grow from it?
I agree that mastering your fear in this environment and maintaining mental calm is a huge challenge and a worthwhile pursuit.
dumaree84 - I will say with 100% confidence that when your astral body/ego finally leave the physical at death, it will at first seem like your baby analogy; learning to walk and talk again but it will seem strangely familiar and you will re-learn that world quickly. You also wont be alone, in the same way your parents taught you and protected you from the physical world until you had the skills to become independent, so will caring beings whose sole task it is to carry you through the next stages be your parents until you can survive alone. It's not really death in the conventional sense is it - it's a birth into the next existence. This isn't just something I've read on the internet and cobbled together either, but obviously you must form your own judgement on the whole thing! :)

I totally agree with you sterling.
However assuming that this new dimention is infact the forth dimention and again assuming that the 5th dimension is where no evil exists (I'm using George Kavassilas's exlanation of all the dimentions see is most recent presentation our journey and the grand deception) the manipulation will continue such as it does when you are born into this 3rd dimention.
Lets say you take what you have learned from the 3rd into the 4th whats to say that we are not fooled into thinking that the 4th is the only place to go therefore we eventually choose for what ever reason to reincarnate in the 3rd again going through the process of forgetting. (see the samsara or wheel of life)
I think the more prepared you are in the 4th and next dimension when you leave a lower dimension the better chance you have of breaking free and becoming closer to the creator.
Maybe im wrong but an open mind is more likely to find the truth!

An entry from my blog
Being Frozen??
I have read many many accounts about people who say they are "frozen" or held in one position by ET/EBEs during encounters. I have not had those experiences. But I am also very willfull! So I chalked it up to my simple refusal to cooperate and lack of fear. I had read many different ways of getting "loose". Some included making sounds, prayer, calling out to deities etc. Plain fighting rarely seems to work. Now most of the accounts I have read say that once the person has "broken" the trance (for lack of a better word) they don't see the Beings again. Personally I think the Beings just change tactics.
Night before last I went to bed and the work began as usual but no pain so I went on to sleep. I woke about 3 or 4 am. I woke as is my habit (whyI don't know I guess I just don't like the idea of being frozen in place) I wiggled a toe. That worked fine.
But then an odd thing happened (well depending on what one considers odd LOL) a sort of energy went thought my head, passed through it actually. I could feel it and hear it. It was a muffled buzz is the best way I know how to explain it. It felt like fog but it felt that way THROUGH my head.... It had a definate start and stop point. It went through my head for maybe 3-5 seconds stopped for a second or so then started again until it had happened 3 times.
It didn't hurt and I was wondering what it was. Then I tried to move and couldn't!!!!! I did NOT like it... without thinking I raised my energy level (like when you are vegged out on the couch and hear a crash in your house you are instantly more aware and alert and awake) and thought "THEY CANNOT FREEZE ME" (you really shouldn't use a negative when doing this because the subconscious doesn't recognize negatives, so use something better if it happens to you) and I could move again, instantly.
So then I was awake but with a terrible headache, so I got up made a cup of tea and thought about it awhile. I wondered if it had to do with the stages of sleep, the MGZ waves our brains use, but I was tired and hurting and went back to bed.
The next day I began doing some research on brain waves and sleep and dreaming. I discovered during REM sleep is when we "freeze" ourselves. This prevents us from hurting ourseves from acting out dreams.
What if the waves I felt were the same waves that our brains put out during that sleep period? The people who concentrate on trying to move their bodies aren't changing their brain waves. Maybe the people who do react with "thought" and change their brain waves back into the higher MGZ realms are instantly freed.
Definately food for thought. Making a noise or calling out or any of those things would change the brain waves to cognitive thought waves thus "breaking" the pattern that "they" had induced in the brain. Could it be as simple as that? I doubt it, but maybe there is a bit of truth in this logic.
But to dismiss these experiences or to assume they are negative I don't believe is in the interest of the person experiencing them. Getting control and trusting yourself are good beginnings.

I've had this once about 10 years ago. I woken up to a very strong force pushing down all over my body and only could get some slight head movement but couldn't move anything else. I was terrified and after about 10-15 mins I just tried to calm down as I couldn't do anything and somehow must've gone back to sleep. I wouldn't want to have that experience again.
I actually looked in here (don't want to make a thread) to post about a dream recently where I was telling my sister about a keyboard possibly not working and held it up to show her then noticed a white slight blue/electric outline around my hand. I tried searching for "white outline dream hand" thinking there would be lots of info but can't really find anything.
Another strange thing happened a few months back but not a dream and fully awake, not feeling sleepy or lying down. I was just sat thinking, then what sounded like a cat hissing loudly in my ear. Seemed quite mischievous.
Anyway, not sure what the white/electric outline is but I've always had dreams that are so real and detailed and even took control of a few about five years ago. Since then though once a month or so I have these points/situations in the dreams where its like I'm trying to alert myself its a dream and often just on the verge of realizing its a dream but not quite getting it. I wake up and think you silly boy, you should've realized it wasn't reality and tried to take control. They're so realistic its so hard to not go with the flow and just assume its real. I think I've should've done something when I seen the outline around my hand but to me it was like it's happening for real.
Just quickly, for some reason I dreamt I needed to break into this building/house (can't remember why exactly) that had a outside metal staircase. I smashed a large window at the top of the stairs next to the door and it shattered just like reality. In the living room there was two women sat on small chairs in each corner smiling at me. I thought why are they just sitting there, I just smashed the window. Awaking I couldn't believe how real the shattering of the window was. Almost like I was testing the dream or something.

I've experienced sleep paralysis a few times, always at times when I've been alone and sleeping in bed during the day mainly.
The last time this happened I was lying with my back to the door, when I woke up suddenly and realised I couldn't move, only my eyes. As I've experienced this before and it has always been unpleasant I naturally felt quite afraid and was desperately trying to move, then I felt the weirdest sensation that something was standing in the doorway looking at me. I was desperately trying to turn around to look at the doorway because the feeling of being watched was becoming overwhelming, then suddenly I felt something sit down on the bed next to me. This is the truth. At this point I was in blind panic because as hard as I tried I just couldn't turn over.
I was trying to move my arm with no movement whatsoever then suddenly the sensation of something sitting next to me on the bed went away and my arm just flew through the air and whacked the mattress as I finally turned round, but it was so forceful like the release of energy just sent my arm flying.
I was so freaked out after this I slept on the sofa for a week until my boyfriend came home.
After this happened I was reading a book about vampires (called Vampires- the Occult Truth by Konstantinos) and a section on psychic vampires who are described by people who see them as black entities or ghostly figures in their room, and are often associated with a feeling a pressure on the chest followed by paralysis. These psychic vampires apparently visit their chosen victim again and again and feed on their energy.
The first thing I thought about was reptilians who also are said to feed on people's energy, and I think it's perfectly feasible that these entities associated with sleep paralysis are of the fourth dimension. I have never seen with my own eyes anything in my room, only a strong overpowering feeling of being watched and a presence. I think it's a possibility that fourth dimensional beings reptilian or otherwise are visiting people in their sleep and absorbing their energy.

has anyone had what felt like involuntary movements while in a state of paralysis? or do you get moving pictures around you while your body is still motionless which make you feel like your moving, but almost like some kind of puppet?

I tried to get up but it seemed I was paralyzed... and it was SO real.
Some of that truthism.com crap is bullshit disinfo. It's meant to keep people feeling negative so that they waste their life feeling like their eternal life will be spent in inescapable eternal loop. Darkness crap implies that this universe is finite and is contained aside from a real realm and by the way...what is the way out? OH THAT'S RIGHT, THERE IS NONE!!! How is that supposed to help people? It's so obvious that while it preaches about control it leaves you with nothing but "hey folks, even after your dead you're consciousness is imprisoned in a fake universe, never ends, good luck!" Bullshit
Life, existence, energy has a natural "enthusiasm" to create life (souls/energy) and teach, refine, enlighten, and repeat. Existence always was, there was no beginning to universal existence. Because of this natural "enthusiasm" souls/energy that have inhabited bodies and lived life similar to ours and are higher up on the enlightenment pole, are in a sense our administrators of us. And some day...we will be in that position as well. The goal is to enlighten, toughen up, attach education and experience to the soul, one day we will be on other places in the universe that is not as in the dark as Earth is (which do currently exist in the universe) as Earth is...by purposeful design and so are other Earthlike planets.
Now we were definitely created by an alien race who tampered with dna, all bodies of humans, and any other alien body is simply a suit or "machine" to interact with certain "physical reality" purposes. When new souls are created, as unique balls of pure energy..we must refine our enlightenment by going through many experiences within physical form, either as new souls and this is our first life experience or otherwise. Earth, YES is a "prison planet" because we really cannot leave at will like others can on other more advanced planets and we are here either on assignment, as punishment and are incarcerated for a period of time/lifetimes, and are here to smooth out things we must work on from prior lives or as a proving ground for new souls so that we can move up. This planet Earth was not built to be pleasant, it was not built to be Utopian in current times, it's a proving ground for some and punishment for others. Few are here on an agreed assignment they took up before being incarnated here and some are even allowed to remember a few things/everything. Part of the challenge is that we do not have all if any of our past experiences alive in our conscious, we have them blocked out. It is apparent to every person here on Earth however..what it is we have as flaws that need to be worked on..but some of our roles here are to simply enforce other people's purpose and help.
There are plenty of planets that are just like earth, have cars etc because "inventive minds" are manipulated by (insert whatever alien race you like here). I've known people who have had positive experience with "Angelic reptilians" and some of course that seemed very emotionless. The diversity is just the same as people's motivations here on earth. I've heard of some reptilians that are very tall..and some that are about 4 ft. We are anchored to our body machines and we are here because Earth is not a paradise and because we have some things to work on, when we die, we will see the full reality once again.
Not all leaders or people in lead positions are Reptilians, I know it's hard for the delusional to take responsibility for their own evils and project it onto (it must be this species of insert race here) but the reason our elites can manipulate so well is because..there is a reason they are here on Earth, most likely because they are the bastards they are. Sure..some are in disguise. Humans have a mix of destined options and free will to see what we will do with those paths laid our in front of us, religion was created by those that created us as a way to give some faith to those here doing time that there is something more to this existence but at the same time..they needed an allegorical way to relay messages in "scriptures" without giving away the full scope of what this existence is really about, otherwise that would be direct cheating, whats the purpose then? Humans however, do have the capability to warp that religion over time though and use it to enslave us which is exactly what it is today.

ummm, some of us have transcended to the 4th and are now ascending to the 5th.

If someone can help me with this....I have that awful feeling and I can"t move and I feel so cold.
Last time I woke up...could not move...and somebody or something was touching me all overy my body...almost like raping me. It was awful.I honestly felt it.
Some say that it"s a medical condition, but I don"t believe that.I know about sleep-paralysis but I never felt something touching me so hard...and I don"t like it.

sory to hear its troubling you. all i can say is that when it happens for a long time you can eventually get over your fear of it and the sensations become far more like being tickled than anything horrible. someone else will be far better able to help im sure

IF you can get OUT of fear and into anger or any other emotion you should be able to learn to break the "freeze". In many cases what's happening is interactions with interdimensional beings. I know from experience one can learn to break their hold, I have. Doesn't mean the interaction will stop but it is less scary to be able to move while they interact with us than to be frozen.

This has happened to me, but not often. First time was after a night of drinking I woke up on my mate's couch completely in the dark unable to move. I felt that somebody was standing over my body and watching me, and I was quite scared.
ANother time in my apartment, I woke up paralyzed again, but this time I was hearing the door nob to the entrance shaking uncontrollably, as if somebody was attempting to get in. Again I felt a negative energy in the room.
This happens rarely and I am thankful for that.

Are you guys serious?
I have had sleep paralysis for a few years, pretty regularly at times, a couple times a night a fair few nights a week! Recently not as i fall to sleep but early in the morning a few times until its time to get up.
It isnt anything mysterious at all, its not things in another dimension, its merely the workings of the human brain which has already been well looked into by science.
What happens to me -
I Wake up (more common when lying on my front) but cant move cept my eyes, i can rock my foot a little or leg but always fail to mvoe it anywhere really, i can rock my head a little - i always fight to try and move, no im not scared i realise at second 1 whats going on and tend to in my head just shout at myself like MOVE YOUR F***INGHEAD JAMIE. I feel a pressure on my back, usually more concentrated in the centre than an even pushing down and i feel like two fingers going into my ears which isnt painfull but it used to be wierd. Always laugh about it in my head. After 30secs or so im able to speak some and i usually swear at myself or make frustrated sound. Theres also a kinda strange noise kinda static like. Then i can move, i generally roll onto my back and go back to sleep - really doesnt stop me wanting or being able to go abck to sleep, and has quite often stoped me from oversleeping.
Thats prety much always how it goes, if im on my back i can make out shapes moving occasionally, and used to see a face and body standing right infront of me, alien style - can make out teeth and wierd face - i watch ALOT of horrors and stuff quite often before bed and i can even see like steam comeing outa its mouth like in the cold when you breathe right infront of my face or walking towards me.
BUT heres the important bit - i keep my eyes open until i can move, iv always known i wasnt dreaming, THE IMAGES MERGE BACK INTO OTHER ITEMS IN THE BACKGROUND! Like the ghostly image suddenly when i snap out of it merges back into a VERY similar shape to the coat hanging on my door - Or the face i had leaning right over my bed, merged back into the picture on my parents wall - its always uncanny how i can see all the shapes of said monster or shadowy figure in whatever im looking at. Its overactive imagination and the way the brain is at that point, with the not being able to move pushing images into your head.
First time it happened i could see 2 hands pushing down my shoulders and couldnt move, i jumped up angrily fists clenched ready to fight back and turned round, my poster on back of my bed had 2 big arms pointing down which i could see from where i was.
If you look into the medical explanation which im sure most of you have, the being unable to move but waking up and eyes moving is easily explainable. I just wonder why it happens.
Quite frankly if a doc said take this 1 pill it wil never happen again. I wouldnt, its a really interesting experience and i do really enjoy it - just wish it wouldnt happen several times in one night it gets kinda grating!
And last thing i think the reason i get the fingers in my ears is because i listen to music too loud in my headphones, i havnt heard ne1 else say this (not read all) but i think thats the logic behind it.
EDIT.
I really dont think its a good idea when it happens to kids and they search it - they wil come here and it wil scare the shit out of them, at least provide the medical explanation although you DONT believe it in the first post of this thread.

:) I've heard of many people wishing to have OBE / astral projection and making huge efforts to do so, but it's more rare to find one that is consciously astrally active, but in denial. It's one of your 'gifts' at this time. Lucky you. Have fun!

OBE - out of body experience? - im in my body looking out i jsut cant move
Astral projection? Im not projecting myself anywhere else its just seeing things.
Maybe im mising soemthing here having not read any of it.
And when u g into rem sleep ur body stops itsself from being able to move cept small movements, to stop u hurting yourself in sleep. This is what hapens in sleep apralysis your mind wakes up but the thing that stops u moving hasnt stoped yet, its from a sudden wakeing up from REM i believe, thats why you cant move.
You see things cos you brain is stil in a certain state of dreaming and the not being able to move causes the brain to create usually menacing images jsut as a reaction to being frozen, its soemthing all humans are scared of being unable to move, plus its usually dark.
I dont see how im the one in denial, and i would like you to link anything that really suggests other than what i previously wrote about (ie. images are shape of stuf in background and follow influences of movies etc.) or any logical reason for beleiveing there realy is something else going on. Would be cool if your right i jsut dont believe its even slightly possible.
Also the fact it happens alot more around the time when i have things on my mind, surely points towards it being psychological, a reaction to other things in my life, and not due to external forces making themselves visible or known.
Forgive the typing, im tired and hopefuly going to say hello to fred, my astral friend ;)

Was it a Dream?
I went to another place were it seemed to be a southwestern state dry and hot, although I couldn’t remember everything. It was a weird night after a long time my sleep paralysis had returned. I was into much fear to try leaving my body. I started having dreams of these reptilian beings trying to capture me. This will be the second time they have shown up in my dreams. The first time briefly, this time I was on the run from them as if they we over taking us. I had been in hiding in a house were about four of them found me. They were male and female with a beautiful shiny green glistering scaly skin. I was able to escape and wake up very frightened. Later to only fall back into it again, back on the run. One of the last things I remember is running down a small street it back of a bunch of small houses. There was a big open spot on my right side at the street. As I ran for it and came up close to it there was a large circular mound of dirt as some one dug a big hole out. As I ran around the higher side of the mound of dirt I couldn’t see the over it to the other side of it. As I ran around it I ran past a smaller being that started running behind me I front of me were the other reptilians that were pursuing me. On the other side of the mound the dirt cam down low to were you could see a very large opening going deep in the earth. Before I could make a choice to fight or keep running. I regained consciousness in my but but still in the state of sleep paralysis. I tried so hard to move but I was paralyzed still and unable to scream for someone to awaken me.
Has anyone encounter Reptilians in Dreams or in the Astral?

awesome painting on the subject. Man has experienced this throughout history:
http://www.hauntedamericatours.com/ghosts/OldHagSyndrome/Fuseli_nightmare.jpg
I have always hated that picture. At least the thing on her body isn't as spooky as what others, imo, have experience.
I'll tell one.
This one managed to help me get over my fear of death but he looked pissed off. It was an Indian in a loin cloth. Long black hair, white loin cloth and as soon as I noticed it, he literally attacked me. He appeared to be Native American but ended up speaking to me in my husband's voice and appeared as him for a brief moment. [ I do have a case of insomnia right now so excuse my lack of enthusiasm please ]
I'm embarrassed to tell what all happened and not sure its even proper I tell my entire experience. This being did HELP me in a desperate time so I consider him a guardian angel. As I was dying. I was leave this earth and was totally happy until he freaking flung me around like a rag doll. He also wanted to PROVE himself real.
He helped me find something lost. Told me what I should be doing instead of all the worrying that had hold of me. Which may come as no shocker to those that really know me. Have more sex with my husband asap. (Hey it turned out to be fun) Scared? Have sex. Still scare? have more sex.
It did get out of control for awhile but it happens to be some of my most fond memories thus far.
The thing that was odd to me is being slammed back into my body. It was horrible. Painful and I'd have rather not but it literally held me there until I could move my fingers.
I got up not mad or scared but ran to see if this lost item was where he showed me and why did he show me?.....................
I just hated Crowley for the past month or so because he was coming into my dreams but was quite nice. I had and still have a hard time reading his words. Maybe that is ADHD? (I happen to think so) Once Crowley was in a white robe trying hard to get rid of not me but someone behind me. Or maybe connect us? A very tall blond male that was beautiful. I don't remember being frightened of this huge beautiful male at all.
I've worried needlessly over it being Lucifer. Now I do not care because I was not frightened. Crowley had a HUGE black book he was reading from. Maybe I'm a odd person? It was amusing and I'd have stayed there too if Crowley didn't leave. Also why was he wearing a white robe? That was not how I expected to see him at all.
Sigh.
I laughed at what he was saying with this angelic type being behind me. He must think I'm a real ding bat. It was his words that helped me notice this being behind me too. I was tickled pink. ANY woman would be. Maybe even any man. One issue is that I could not grasp this, dare I say, angel?
Anyone ever have a positive OBE, astral travel or better yet Crowley dream?
Not saying what the Master Therion said but he was not evil. To me at least. I feel blessed. It was quite sweet and I still feel special for the attention and compassion.
I'm sad that people are having horrible experiences that are scaring them.
I honestly hope bad feelings leave you all and are replaced with amazing experiences.

I've had odd sexual dreams but not cold. Like warm gold light?
One did molest me quite vulgar but I am a pervert maybe? I rather enjoyed it.
Maybe this is what is going on. I've experienced OBEs and strange dreams all my life. Honest. If this was a new experience for you, I've found that many woman have had a horrible time with sex in their lifetime, you may be, oh I am just jumping in and don't even know you.
Do you have a good sex life? You do not have to answer me.
If not, speak to someone who can help you. Women do not deserve to EVER feel like that.
I'm quite amazed at these stories. Plus a little sad.
What is making so many people have these horrible times?
Reptiles? I owned a snake one time. It was not bad at all.
Curses to all negative or dark evil things bad.

I too have had this feeling of something similar. Although you need to understand that during sleep paralysis your body is separated from your consciousness. It similar to have a OBE you just havent left your body yet. I fall into these states and have encountered many entities. here is a link to a sleep paralysis site were i am a moderator. Maybe you can find some comfort there in everyone elses experiences.

Young in my knowledge, yet have had OBE once, while in a car, during an excruciating painful, time in my life.Having to face many bad realizations,I "disassociated" my former psychologist said.So if that was the begining of astral curiosity for me,why would I wanna go further and look into this if almost everyone states negative experiences?Infinite contiousness is love right? And I still am working on no fear, but when I have no fear, will I have negative astral expieriences? They should only be there if in some way we are letting them ? Guess I need to study this if I wanna go further?I dont get all the "bad, negative" stuff everyone is talking about on here.Ive had dark things around me and told them to get out.Called on my higher guides, mentors,to help rid of the dark things around me.Still working on my inner peace if thats what you wanna call it.But why all the fear in people,on here, about bad, dark expieriences? Is this something people "master" eventually? Some one please point me to factual knowlege,or reading material?

Good evening All. My first post & one of the reasons i came to this forum was to discuss this.
Okay, i'm not entirely sure how old i was when this happened but i'm going to hazard a guess at 3-4 years old (my sister was born when i was 4 & we shared a room for 3 or 4 years after she arrived, she wasn't present in the room for below happenings).
As a small child i used to have this terrifying , recurring 'nightmare' - thats what you would call it back then. What has continued to bother me about it since it happened is that seemingly at that age i would have had no reference what i experienced. ***i wouldn't have seen any horror films at this point etc. etc. ***
I can see this quite vividly when i think about it, i am lying in bed , i'm asleep & 'wake-up' but can't move properly . I see shadows coming down the hallway where the light has been left on & i try to call "Mum" except i can't seem to get the word out, i'm only just able to get a 'MMM' out of my mouth. A silhouette appears in the doorway & looks around the door & in at me . A figure that i presume is my Mum comes to the side of the bed , but it doesn't feel comforting, it's emitting a pretty dark, scary aura . I'm still expecting Mum to come into view when the face comes towards mine . i'm expecting a kiss on the cheek when all of a sudden it puts its hands up to its shadowey face & scrapes its fingers down its head , tearing the skin off as it goes - it's right in my face when this happens. At this point i snap out of the condition i've been in & scream the house down whereupon my Mum does come up to check on me.
This happened pretty regularly & it was so vivid it scared the living shit out of me for a long time.
i'm interested in what people are saying on here about 'sleep paralysis' but i'm confused as to how i would have these horrific (visual) references for this to happen?
When i read Sloppys' story here i thought , pretty close to my experience:
"The first time this happened i fell asleep on my couch downstairs.
Im not sure what to make of it, maybe one of you guys knowing a bit more on the subject might be able to point out whether it was sinister or just my mind playing a joke"
Whatever it was , it was pretty scary .

Yes when I was about 14 I dozed off for only about 20 minutes, but when I woke up I felt like I still caught and stuck inbetween both dimensions. My body was raised and I could see my bedroom walls around me but above was the most strongest blue lights and I know this sounds weird but I couldn't feel and wind or heat/cold it was like my body was in a different atmosphere that I have never experienced before. My body slowly lowered down and when I properly woke up I could still see flashes of the blue rays on my ceiling for a few senconds afterwards. I told my mum and she thought I was nuts.

LOL I did try to remember this Lordzoma! So funny you mentioned this! One night,I was not trying to do anything,I was in this paralysis state, and someone was squeezing my finger,SO BAD that it felt as if to cut it in half.It physically HURT!! But of course,I slowly woke up,started laughing out loud because I knew deep down "its not gonna work you stupid dark thing!" and put it off to that.Thats what I remember. For all I know I could have been trying to wake up and practicing what I remembered you said to do.(a different thread I believe)Whats beautiful was I was laughing and not scared. But I KNOW this that you say to do, WORKS!!! :)

my experince
i woke up in a paralised state, i was sat upright, i heard a buzzing sound . My eyes could move but nothing else, to the right of me i could see a small figure like a grey, only a 2-3 ft tall. The being had a electronic note pad in its hand and seemed to be taking a notes. It looked at me and we made eye contact. At this point it disapeared and i droped back down to the bed and was fully awake.

The '4th Dimension' is TIME.
Time doesn't exist 'normally' in the 'Astral' so it is NOT 4D.
