Just occurred to me as a really really noisy plane flew over...

Wouldn't it make far more sense to have ten levels to the pandemic scaling system? I mean, why six? which four don't we get told about?

The definitions provided don't really seem to describe the full potential of damage attributable to a 'killer' virus.

At which stage would they consider wiping out urban conurbations? Or whatever detail it was that made that guy stop mid-sentence and say 'jesus...' while reading a bill out in congress last year?

not that i think that's on the table this time, am just curious...

The bill in congress you refer to where the guy said 'jesus'

was a JOKE. It was from the Onion.

Next time you watch videos that you think are real, be a little bit more intuitive. Take a look at the bottom right of those videos you will notice the ONN symbol for the Onion, a tongue in cheek media outlet.

As for your topic - Yeah. What level of Pandemic alert allows for the nuclear destruction of urban centers to keep the zombies from killing us.

They probably figure that once they've successfully brainwashed us all into running around in a panic flapping our arms at '6', there'll be no further need to keep up the bullshit pretense with extra numbers.
