Anyone joined or are aware of any of these in the UK?

I figure that with the right configuration and vehicle, with a plot of land and like-minded individuals you could be onto a winner.

Very similar to freeman-on-the-land types and the like.

My near neighbours don't have a vehicle - they use shire horses.

No electric, no mains water, no 'services' of any description,
they grow nearly everything they need - fruit, veg' plants for
making other things e.g. Salix viminalis for baskets and string,
other plants for medicines etc.

They also keep bees, and also let out space for other bee keepers to have
hives on their land. Long days, sometimes physically very hard, but
20+ years or so now doing the above.

Quite shy and retiring people, but very friendly when they know you.
