Isle of Man is not in the EU

I was reading the Wiki page on the Isle of Man yesterday: Isle of Man - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've always known that the Isle of Man is semi-independent of the UK. It has the Queen as its head of state, like a Commonwealth country, but it has its own Parliament, the Tynwald. But I had no idea that it was not in the European Union! We need to keep an eye on this little island and see what PRS, Stepping-Stones and Divide-and-Rule ruses the Elite will play on it to get it into the EU.:eek:

I'm from the Island and i am proud to say we aren't part of the UK. We stated that it's morally corrupt.

The Channel Islands are not in the European Union eaither.

Wish i could say the same about us on the Isle of Wight... :( I'd love to stick two fingers up at the UK and the EU... but sadly we are in it up to our necks with ridiculous trials like travel databases/passport ID etc being proposed in order to merely visit us... even just for day trips and commuters ...:(

There used to be an Isle of Wight independence party called Vectis that wanted to get the same status for Wight as Man does.

These damn databases are coming in everywhere for any trumped up reason!:mad: Here's an idea: Everybody on the island chips in to buy yourselves your own boats to travel between the mainland and the island; and so the official ferry lines are threatened with losing customers unless they agree to refuse to implement ID checks.:D:cool: It'll be like the Alabama bus boycott.

Very astute observation.:cool: I wish Oxford would refuse to be part of the UK. I have myself, but nobody else here has joined me yet.
