I thought perhaps I could group people up together to try and help with exposing by using the web, by taking their info, and spreading it across the internet. But I feel no one is will to go as far as me.

I've decided to cancle the IRC meeting. I'll post, and read any updates from Ickes site... But I can no loger say I will be an "active member"...

I know I should be out in the streets doing my thing against what I hate, but in truth I'm a shy, kept-to-myself type of guy, so I'm protesting in the way Ghandi would. Best thing anyone can do is just provide advice and let them deal with it all themselves. You try and do the work for anyone else and you will be wasting your time. They won't appreciate it and as soon as your support stops they will crumble again. I think that the knowledge of the intensity of the suffering in the world is so consuming for some that they feel they must do anything and all they can to try and stop it.

I also think that, for some people, learning about things so 'dark' 'evil' like Satanic child abuse can cause a nervous breakdown. I guess this is why some people instinctively chose ignorance instead. A person needs to have the ability to be resourceful when it comes to finding ways to cope with this knowledge, and carry on living!

Many people also feel so helpless......They hate what they see, but what can they do?

Empathy and sensitivity are not a weakness. It is like having an extra sight that some lack and others lack completely (but only a few lack it completely). This poignant awareness brings acute suffering. You are more aware of the beauty, but also more aware of the contrast of beauty which is suffering and cruelty.

I believe that the only real evil is ignorance itself. If we can find a way to awaken awareness in those who lack empathy, then we truly will be on the way to changing the world for the better.

Really. Getting all of this out has made me realize that violence isn't the way to go. But, I do want to say one last thing. I agree. We have to take back our individual control over ourselves. Schools are used to control, as are governments, religions, military. Everything is used so we follow the orders of other people without questioning them, without asking why, or what if I don't agree with this, or what if I just don't want to?
Its all designed so we ignore our (inner) selves and follow the rules and regulations of someone else. We should chose to follow our own inner truth forsaking everything else - forsaking every excuse not to do what we think is right.
