By what I've so far read on the newspapers, it is beginning to be clear that the Mexican government knew about the swine flu outbreak threat (confirmed death toll: 20 by now) since at least the middle of April, if not earlier— there's an article that states the private hospitals were warned about the possible threat and began to take measures since the beginning of the year.

...And yet, the Mexican government failed to warn Barack Obama or postpone his visit!

Not only that, but at the reception diner held in his onor at the National Mseum of Anthropology, he spent a considerable amount of time personally greeting —and shaking hands with— many of the guest attendants gathered for such illustrious occasion.

But wait, it gets worse:

On April 16th, Mexican Archeologist Felipe Solís greeted President Obama at the museum, where he let him admire the magnificent Aztec calendar before attending the reception diner where his guests were already gathered —among the guests were the super-wealthy business man Carlos Slim, and the Nobel prize winner Gabriel García Márquez, to name a few.

The next day, Solís began to feel an infection in his threat as well as chest pains; according to his collaborators, he dismissed it as a common cold. A mistake that turned out to be fatal.

The next Saturday he was rushed to the Metropolitan Hospital, where he was diagnosed with pneumonia. The next day his condition worsened and became more dangerous due to the diabetes he had been suffering for some years. He fell into a coma and died(*) on Wednesday.

After his visit on Mexico, Obama travelled to Trinidad to meet the Statement of all Latin America; as always he showed courtesy and diplomacy, and even dared to shake hands with Hugo Chavez. The summit was considered a tremendous success by all the political analysts of the region.

Was Solís infected with the new swine flu virus? it is too early to say at this moment; an autopsy should definitely be performed.

Was Obama carelessly exposed to the virus? Again it is too early to say (**)

Would he have come to Mexico had he known about the outbreak situation beforehand? I think I don't even have to answer that one.

For my part, the level of outrage and embarrassment I feel is indescribable. Here we are, trying to creae a new relationship with the United States that helps us fight the drug cartels and solve the issues of climate change and illegal immigration, and yet we fail to inform our ally about his tiny health problem that could turn into a pandemic of catastrophic proportions.

and most likely.. this is where my 'bad vibe' came from.. Im not a big film watcher.. but have seen the ones like 28 days / weeks later.. I am legend.. I was drawn to them.. and even circumstances in how i got to watch um are a bit strange... and throughout watching them, I always got a vibe goin on...

Channel 4 in uk even did a '28 days later big brother' styley thing which was a bit bizzare

This isnt to say Im convinced that we're going to have zombies running about...

(Think thats what scared me most, anything I've seen with zombies before, whether it be a film or game, have always been nice n slow with their movements! always thought, no worries, i could get away from them... easy peasy... but these new breed are flippin fast!! im laughing.. imagine one of them from I am legend comin at ya :eek::p)

...but you can imagine, if theres not many left around you.. and people are trying to survive.. unless there is some mass awakening and people pull together and good vibes, will and nature are shown to each other.. it would be carnage.. and to be fair, when you look at the plot line for these sorts of films.. crazy virus things being made and tested.. theres every chance a virus could be made that turn people into something we just havent seen before...

I still say to myself, even now...Or, it could JUST be a film.. :p but the more I learn and see over certain things, it just gets harder n harder sometimes to hear the voice of reason :rolleyes:

Over the years, I have watched films on n off and of course, sometimes there does seem to be a current trend / seeding of minds.. like ufos and weather destruction blah blah.. but none hit home or gave me the vibe like these others.. a real uncomfy feeling and quite strange for me to have such a strong feelin after ANY film...

Hmmm.. after watching the films I was thinking of strategy :eek: where i would i hide..? how i would live? how would i barracade myself in? and how i would aim then to escape and find a camp of other n all sorts.. :rolleyes: im laughing.. was thinking id have to get fit too.. to be able to leg it.. from rabid forest gump with a right bad attitude :eek:

It all lasted about a week really.. :rolleyes::o:p

So what the last couple of days have done for me is to really make me stop n think.. time to do a bit more and crack on... I think we have to becareful how much attention and focus we give these situations though.. the whole manifest and fear bit.. but, its made me challenge my focus a bit and not in a bad way
