I'd like to do a colon cleanse but some of the courses I've seen are really expensive.
Is there a way to do it at home without spending a lot of money?
I live in the UK
I stupidly done this once. It was tramatic to say the least!!
Apparently the machine one is better than manual - i had manual!!
Not sure of the pros and cons but I haven't gone back to have it again!!
My thinking behind it was that I really need cleanse and it done the job.
I'm not saying dont but i am not saying do.
Be interested to see what other people say.

Hey trooper
I use these. They are great.

The tips on that page have always worked a treat for me.
You are right to seek a cheaper way of cleaning yourself - the course fees are indeed astronomical!
Best of luck

If you'd like to go the less dramatic route, I use the Super Cleanse product from Boku Superfoods. It is a high quality, organic herbal product, as all of Boku's products are.

You might as well detox at the same time. I would recommond Detox by Yogi Tea.

I got some colon cleanse powder (Colosan) from them this week. Planning on giving it a go next week. I can't say I'm looking forward to the experience but I'm hoping it will improve health. From what I have read the oxygen based treatments are better than other home treatments as it supposedly gets into all the little nooks in the gut wall. Any tips or warnings of what to anticipate please let me know!

ull get those familiar twangs of needing the toilets seemingly out of nowhere, dont panic and briskly make your way to the toilet for an experience only someone on something like oxypowder or coloson or too many curries can experience. for about a week straight.
I took my oxypowder 1st time full dosage for a week and bloody hell that was an interesting week haha
expect to feel great almost right away :) oxygen suppliments get into your system right away and as you become better oxidized your whole body feels great.

This procedure as well as colon cleansing products are a rippoff. If you eat a high fiber diet (something very lacking in the industrialed world) and drink lots of water, your GI track will stay cleaned out... and if you start doing both you will scrap out the old gunk that has accumulated over time, in a reasonable period of time.

A high fibre diet is of course a good idea but it won't really clean out the colon for at least two reasons.
1. The colon can form "pockets" in which old food can be trapped. Fibre can't get into these, nor can some forms of colon cleanses, such as those which are psyllium husk based.
2. Food which lies in the colon and intestines, particularly meat can become coated in mucus and attached to the gut walls. The body does this because these pieces which rest there for too long can become toxic to the body so they are sealed in mucus on the colon walls. Fibre, as I understand it, doesn't really remove this either.
Also some colon cleanses are better and quicker at helping correcting bacterial levels that can contribute to conditions such as candida albicans, fermentation, and dysbiosis. Other things that can help in this matter are grapefruit seed extract, caprylic acid and probiotics. While diet plays a role in correcting this fibre alone will not address bacterial problems, such problems require a lack of sugar, yeast and carbohydrates for at least a while.
High fibre and lots of water (much of western culture suffers from chronic dehydration) are recommended but to my knowledge are unable to clean out the digestive tracts they way some colon cleanses can.

Oxypowder + Master cleanse will completely clear u out. I lost about a stone of water + shit in 5 days back in '07 doing this. I didnt find that the urge to go was uncontrollable either, it came and went. Certainly was never close to soiling myself in public!

Hi,
I've just bought some Sel de Guerande unrefined Celtic Sea Salt primarily to do the colon cleanse and I just wondered if someone could clarify the quantity of water and salt required?
I couldn't find the post, but someone on here mentioned a tablespoon in 2 litres of hot water, whereas other sites have said a litre a day with a teaspoon of salt in. So should I be going with 1 or 2 litres ideally a morning, and should this be each morning for 1 week?
Also I just wondered if there was a recommended amount to add to a bath or is that more a case of any amount is good?
Thanks
teddie

There is a very cheap and effective natural colon cleanse. Take one teaspoon of food grade bentonite clay, one teaspoon of psyllium husk in a glass of water, leave for 10 mins then drink on empty stomach.
Its good to use a good colon cleanse herbal product as well, but this cheap cleanse will get you started, and works well, you will notice improvements the next day.
I like the magnetic clay which isn't cheap but the bottle is huge and lasts you ages, cheaper clays are available, psyliium is very cheap, you don't need those expensive products though they can help alot, used in conjunction with this. The pyslium husk and clay is the best and once you have it you have enough to last for months, and yes you might need to stay on it for months, and you can use permanently to keep your inners healthy.
