FEMA Global Live Drill Exercise called NLE 09 in July between the 27th and 31st 2009. UK, AUSTRALIA, CANADA, MEXICO, and privet agency's e.g. NATO all involved emergency management in the aftermath of a terrorist event or natural disaster:eek:
just what are they up to

sounds bit like the exersizes of 9/11 and 7/7 that both "convieniently" coincided with exact same real events.

Now, I know you are all going to state the obvious with this, BUT! I have ALWAYS had a strong feeling that the 27th July will be one of those very important days to remember.

Now it's also my birthday! Lol, so I guess from a psychological perspective you could argue that I would think that anyway.

Northrop Grumman Awarded 2009 FEMA National Level Exercise Contract

HERNDON, Va., Nov. 18, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Department of Homeland
Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded Northrop
Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) a task order under the National Exercise Program
contract to plan, conduct and evaluate the 2009 Tier 1 National Level Exercise
(NLE 09).

The time and materials task order is worth more than $12 million over a two-year
period.

"The National Level Exercise is the largest, most complex exercise conducted
under FEMA's National Exercise Division," said Edward Soriano, Northrop Grumman
Technical Services' program manager for the contract. "Northrop Grumman's
extensive experience in training and exercise planning will aid our customer in
ensuring government officials in the new administration rapidly assimilate the
scope and magnitude of a crisis of this magnitude through the exercise process."

Northrop Grumman and its teammates, which include ICF International, Fairfax,
Va., Battelle, Columbus, Ohio, Alutiiq, Anchorage, Alaska, L-3
Communications/MPRI, Alexandria, Va., UNITECH, Centreville, Va., and Interface
Media Group, Washington, D.C., will perform this work in support of FEMA in
Washington, D.C., and the south central states within FEMA's Region VI, which
include Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

"We are excited to be a part of an exercise program that prepares our nation's
leaders to handle a wide array of emergent homeland security issues," said Mike
Roberts, vice president and general manager for the Northrop Grumman Technical

NLE 09 will allow terrorism prevention efforts to proceed to a logical end (successful or not), with no requirement for response or recovery activities

I hope that people wont ever talk that horrible day of "twentysevenseven" in the future. I remember the 7/7 and 9/11 drills.

Looks like their in the middle of a five year schedule that started in 2007 there are a couple of interesting calenders on page 7 and 8 of the link shows all drills from 2007 to 2011
