Hey!

Its either the read deal or a decent fake, after viewing each vid a few times, Im leaning towards one point of view, but I'll let yer make up yer own minds.

Did you see the eyes of those fishes?even they where like:  WTF IS THAT?! ;)

But seriously,i think its a fake.
Why?
First real good quality of film,to good to be true.
The 2nd video, the camera aims towards the fishman before its even visible.
The advertisement of a production company afterwards suspects that they made the vid.
And the startled fish ofcourse

the first is definitely a fake for me, unless there is an extremely explanation for that bright light that flashes very soon after the mermaid is out of sight

very much inclined to think the 2nd one is fake too, if they got that recording of a real mermaid, why didn't they carry on to follow it as long as they could?

That tail looks realistic, mermaids or the thought of them has always scared me.

Definitely fake. There are several "professional" mermaids out there, Hannah Fraser being one of them:

Kandui Island - Hannah Mermaid & Dave Rastovich - YouTube
Hannah Mermaid & Whales in Tonga - YouTube

The chick seems to have Hannah's swimstyle too, so wouldn't surprise me if it was her.

...and rightly, too.
Real mermaids are mean!
They shapeshift into beautiful women to lure young men to their deaths in the sea.
The classic image of the mermaid is one who has only half-shifted back - before the victim is devoured by the monster that it is.

All the makings of a great viral video :)

I give more thought to bigfoot videos than stuff like this... not because bigfoot videos are genuine, but because Sasquatch are actually seen, in real life, by people who are by themself or with witnesses etc.

I've never heard of a single person witnessing a mermaid by themself, never the less with witnesses.

That is bizarre! certainly an excellent fake if it is one, with videos like this you cant win,if there crap quality people cant make it out properly, if its good quality like ,this people say its an obvious fake! The movement is amazing, not something i'm prone to believe in, but after these vids its very hard not to!!
