I have heard it suggested that the Jesuit Superior General is the world leader of freemasonry. However whenever I ask for evidence to support that claim I never get a reply.

Who is the leader of freemasonry, and how is it known for sure that he/she is in fact the leader, what/where is the source of it, and I am not looking for details about Adam Weishaupt, I am looking to know how it is known today that Kolvenbach, or whomever it is, is in fact the leader of world freemasonry

Freemasonry has never had one authoritative leader. Masons are led by the laws and regulations of Freemasonry itself. Each separate Lodge (meeting place) elects its own officers. Even so, all lodges worldwide have the same symbols, degrees, and teachings. Grand Lodges, which are a combination of more than one Lodge, also have elected officers. All Freemasons are bound through obedience to the ancient mystery "truths" that are gradually revealed as they advance in rank (degree). This is all I have to say...

Someone who knows this subject will reply in more detail ... - OR NOT http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/winking/winking0050.gif
