I browsed to this from someone else's post and thought it was interesting. I've heard that some small chips are small enough to even be injected during innoculations for children. Here is a story about pills with chips inside so the doctor can know if you've taken the pills (at least that's the usage described in this story but I can think of many uses...... and implications including chips in food)
