I'm glad to hear it. You had me a bit worried with the title, and that's why i suggested you change it - i mean, change the idea that anyone can own you :)
What do i do...For a start, nobody owns me, and in a myriad of big and small ways i ensure that i stay independent. Un-owned :)
It's a way of life, you know, rather than any single or particular thing i do.
Being self-employed helps tremendously though, and following my heart and doing stuff i truly enjoy rather than the products and concepts society and main stream media wants me to 'buy' into ...
Truth is important - it carries a vibration that cuts through any bullshit and breaks any chain and bondage - so i try to embrace the whole spectrum of truth; from speaking the truth, to facing reality and living my life authentically. It's a work in progress, obviously, but i think im getting better and better at it. So far so good :)
Ps. 'They' can never own us. They can con us, waste our time and energy through rules and regulations, pollute our bodies through food, air and water, pollute our minds through the media, steal our money through taxes, manipulate us and fuck us over in a thousand ways but they can never own us. In just one second, in one breath, any one of us can be alligned with our spiritual truth, and in that state we are already totally free, infinite consciousness above and beyond any form of limitation. If anyone tries to own you, they are only proving that they are not connected to a soul perspective at all, and so really can't be trusted in any shape or form. Really, people that try to control you are best avoided i think.

Erm, you can't live a truthful life in the 3D 'reality' when nothing you see is real, it's all in the past and cannot therefore exist. The soul is just a holding cup for our spirit incarnation. It is not really a part of our true self.
My point was that to say they don't own you because you won't do as they say does not mean your free and only freeing your mind and eventually your spirit will you know what freedom really is and how it actually feels, most have no idea what freedom is in the first place!

Sorry, I didn't mean to come across all 'preachy'. When we are truly free this way of life will be looked back on probably as the real dark ages!

i agree with every word you said hellosatellites,
in fact what you said reminded me of someones words, i can't recall how they are worded out exactly, but the meaning of them is: only you can take control of your life, and if you don't, some one else does it.
that is a huge truth.

if you (ANYBODY) are not happy with the way your life is, ONLY YOU CAN MAKE THE CHANGE. if you really want, you will. and don't come with excuses that this or that stops you. there is always a way of changing things. and the change comes from within in the first place.
after you figure out what you have to change in order to get to where you want, then you can and will change. it can be the group of people you hang around with. you can change that. it can be the place you live in. it can be a miriade of things. but only you and you and can make the first step of a thousand to get to the end of the road you envisioned.

The avatar is of Starbuck of Battlestar Galactica (the new series). Her tattoo is like a wing and her husband in the show had one also which faced the opposite way so that when they stood together the rings at the bottom overlapped and they formed a pair of wings as they were both Viper pilots (small miltary space planes). I highly recommend the show, it is the best that has ever been on television (not like the old series which I did enjoy), absolutely fantastic. If you can get it on box set do it.....it's only partially sci-fi...t's more about the characters and their interactons and has elements of religion and politics and sex and everything we have in society and it brings a lot of issues up to think about without being heavy. It also has mystery in it to be figured as you go along and keeps you guessing.
