DO not adjust your screens.

AN architect has painted his entire house, and everything in it, bright blue as part of a barmy experiment.

Not even the pot plants have escaped an airbrushing.

Arty Peter Kaschnig said he wanted to see the psychological effects of living surrounded by just one colour.

But the masterstroke has outraged locals in the quiet neighbourhood of tree lined Klagenfurt, Austria.

The house, with its blue shutters complete with blue bedroom and blue bathroom, has become a colourful hotspot for snap-happy tourists.

“It looks ridiculous and out of place and all the visitors it attracts are a real nuisance. You can’t park any more and there is no privacy. This used to be a quiet neighbourhood,” moaned neighbour Heidi Manning.

Unrepentant Kasching said: “The results exceeded my expectations. It really does have an amazing impact on the senses to have everything in one colour.

“It changes the whole 3-D impact of a room. I know there are critics but there are also a lot of people who are very interested in my project."
I find this interesting on how color effects us emotionally and what or if we associate anything with it

Yes so do I Deca.

My kitchen was blood-red for a few years to I decided I would paint it a pale blue, hoping the childrens behaviour improved, lol.
Not noticed any change yet but we havent been spending much time in there....

On an episode of Eastenders once (yes, I was a fan...:o) I heard that yellow can induce suicide, (my front room is half yellow) Before that I heard that it helps with intelligence...

The difference between the red and light blue was a biggie as far as opening the room up. I tested it with one half white and the other half red before I had finished and the red side seemed to be pressing down on me, while the white side seemed enormous!

Yes I think so too. Ive gone completely OTT in my house though...I knew I should have chose soft pastel colours or even dare I say it....MAGNOLIA!!!

I found out the other day that magnolia is gone-off white paint. No wonder the councils started giving it away for free.

I had a tin of 'brilliant white' and decided to paint a fence panel with it. Magnolia came out, it was ok, it matched the new shed :)
