are we losing discrimination? seen on another thread -

I don't get how that is "subliminal" - surely if the audience is conscious of it, It's just a stylistic effect meant to invoke that painting.

I'm getting really frustrated with this site - people are so eager to jump on anything that resembles a religious/mystic symbol and say they've discovered an NWO message - even if the designer simply added it to use its resonance make their art/music/film more effective.

I saw someone freaking out because Lily Allen's song said "i heard people die when they're trying to find fame", as if its not common knowledge that many popstars have been killed by their excess.

Or freaking out when a new sci-fi film is based in a post-apocalyptic world, when anyone knows that this is a cliche in sci-fi.

Of course, the fact that rock stars die so much and a likely future apocalypse exist is scary, but I can't be bothered to attack every artist who explores these things.

I would like to see some discernment - people taking a breath and think before they jump on posting screenshots of every triangle they have seen on a film!

^^^^ I agree. Newbies tend to really get carried away with it all, so excited about what they've discovered. They haven't learned how to be balanced and rational about it all. I think after a bit of time (will be different for everybody) eventually they calm down and don't freak out over every little perceived symoblism, and stop reading so excessively into every little comment that appears in the media. Eventually they should arrive at a point where they're like, "Oh, big deal. Another pyramid. Another five pointed star. Yippee." :D

The whole "spot the illuminati/mind control symbolism" within the media becomes just another entertainment diversion, the other side of the entertainment distraction coin. For so many people, the knowledge isn't a means to an end.......it's the ends in itself. They don't go anywhere with it. They spend their days spotting the symbolism......and then what? Their life is passing them by. All they're doing is going in circles, thinking they're on to something.

Just my two cents.

Yep, some members have already decided that something is occult or illuminati controlled and will find "evidence" to back up their claim instead of researching something and then finding a conclusion. Saying that, I am just starting to research into mind control and subliminal messaging. You might be saying the same thing about me in a couple of months!:D

Very well said, what a lot of newer truth seekers don't realise is the fact these "symbols/subliminals" have been injected into society for a very long time, so if you have a company with a pyramid it doesn't mean the are part of illuminati in fact most of the time it's just programmed response, if you have say a bunch of intelligent life forms on a planet which you can influence be it purposefully or otherwise by worshiping symbols such as the sun then it's bound to come out in some form from people that really don't understand the relevance to it.

Just like you say dhama_initiative it's more harmfull that it is helpfull. From a personal view I would say that to understand all this bullshit in the world you need to find yourself and stop following others, then you come to a new understanding of it all. However dark it may be, as Bob marley (god bless his soul) said " Let me tell you if you're not wrong, then everything is alright".

There has been times when i've been so depressed about everything, feeling so surrounded and out-played, that I have no chance and have to eat the bullshit because it's everywhere but that's really not the case. Maybe it takes time to come to an understanding by researching, reading ect and talking to others, reading this board is really a great way to help yourself understand things that are going on. What you don't want to do is get on the "alex jones band wagon" which is what's happening to a lot of young truth seekers unfortunatly. So we have a generation of people that are against government corruption and against people like obama what's-his-face. With such a small view on things they belive that you remove a bad egg I.E Obolloxama you wont have to join the NWO or worse. I respect these guys because they are atleast showing they are not happy with america but they need to look outside the box because at the moment they are playing the game the elites want them to.

Edit: What's worse is the people that think they know everything about everything haha.

I agree with you to some extent. I also must admit that there are times I get a little carried away over the Stepford thread.

Been pondering grounding myself a little for a while, because sometimes I feel as if I'm losing the ability of posting rationally, so your post is a good reminder of what I promised to myself.
