Very Good Hunter, something I haven't done yet i.e. Rabbits or Pigeon.
I couldn't actually see the guts being removed from the pigeons, surely he didn't leave them in?
Would you go anywhere near a city (london) pigeon?
Cheers.

But you can eat rat....;)
Pigeons dont eat any different to any other bird basically. Chicken eats a lot of crap. And you,d eat pike wouldn,t you, and there is nothing they wont eat.

I've yet to see a single rabbit in my parts :( They are cool animals too. Very tasty I imagine.
Also, pulling the skin off like a sock is extremely convenient.

Haven't watched the vid as I have a very slow download.
The way I have done it is by breaking the leg's making a slit down to the belly. Then starting at the legs you peel back the skin and just rip off the whole lot to the head then cut that off. Must gut it first.
Man there is nothing like a slow cooked rabbit stew with lots of herbs and spices.
It's been awhile since I've done it.

I discovered a great way of getting rid of the tenacious smell of rabbit off the hands.
Wash your hands normally then cover your hands in ketchup then wash again. Works like a dream.

on small game like woodcock and snipe, the guts are left in to add to the flavour by some foodys although the gizzard must be removed.
on this vid i think he quarters the birds( ie uses the breasts and legs) so no gutts left in. the carcassus be make excellent if boiled down:)

Just reading this is making me feel weak. I guess that's why I don't eat meat much. I might show this to my sister to freak her out, lol. She's got quite a large collection of rabbits. Strictly not for eating though.:D

Actually leaving in the gizzards and other organs is very nutritious, thats if you know that the bunny or pigeon have been eating natural food's. There are lots of good vitamins and minerals in them entrails:)

If she gets through the part where the legs and head are chopped off with a cleaver you should give her a million bucks.

with fresh shot rabbits i aliways eat the liver and kindneys first, as it is probably the most nutricious part of the animal, and bloody tasty with some fresh picked wild parasol mushrooms:)
