One ray on the thousand points of light and yet they seem to get all the credit in today's pop conspiracy culture.

This is bound to make other mystery schools, some of which are more esteemed, just a tad jealous over the incongruous amount of attention the Illuminati get.

The term Illuminati (not to be mistaken for the Bavarian Illuminati), is not a secret society of it's own, but a general term for the combined effort of individuals belonging to multiple NWO groups and secret societies, who are playing their part to bring about the NWO. I hope I said that clearly.

cool you made me look it up and here is what i found

illuminati
1599, pl. of L. illuminatus "enlightened" (in figurative sense), pp. of illuminare (see illumination). Originally applied to a 16c. Spanish sect (the Alumbrados), then to other sects; since 1797 used as a translation of Ger. Illuminaten, name of a secret society founded 1776 in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, and holding deistic and republican principles; hence used generally of free-thinkers and sarcastically of those professing intellectual enlightenment (1816).

and

illumination
1340, "spiritual enlightenment," from O.Fr. illumination, from L. illuminationem (nom. illuminatio), from illuminare "to throw into light," from in- "in" (with assimilation of -n- to the following consonant) + lumen (gen. luminis) "light." Meaning "the action of lighting" is from 1563. Illuminate (M.E. enlumyen) originally meant "decorate written material with gold, silver, bright colors;" sense of "shining light on" first recorded 1563. (Illumine in this sense is from 1375.)

It is interesting, the focus only on 'Illuminati'.

One (theoretical) bottom line states: Illuminati is the interface between the secret societies and the extraterrestrials.

As that particular 'legend' or 'myth' has it, Illuminati is the order of the Red Dragon/the patriarchal Solar cult/masculine dragon energy/Shamballa folks in inner Earth. The 'Luminati' is the order of the Yellow Dragon/the matriarchal Lunar cult/feminine dragon energy/Agartha folks in the inner Earth.

Story goes; with the 'fall' souls once in somewhat balance reverted from the feminine energy based living to the masculine and war, polarity, duality.

Stands to reason; in a dualistic 'world' there surely is an 'opposite' to Illuminati. Never mentioned though.

I suppose 'better the devil you know'.

As I see it, the Illuminati is the capstone of the global power pyramid.

This is clearly seen in how governments all over the world gladly (or unwillingly) borrow money from some obscure lenders behind semi-public facades.

Interviewer: "Why do you borrow money from external lenders? Why can't you regulate, print and control your own money?"

Government Representative: "Oh, we find it convenient to borrow money"

IW: "But isn't that rather stupid? I mean, you will have to pay interest to someone who's not even a part of the nation"

GR: "We are glad and proud to pay interest. Besides, all we have to do is to tax the population to pay the interest"

IW: "How can you be glad to have to pay interest to external lenders? Is it really beneficial to borrow money form external sources?"

GR: "Yes, of course. That's why we do it"

IW: "Beneficial for whom?"

GR: "Beneficial for ourselves of course"

IW "You mean, beneficial for the nation and its citizens"

GR: "No, no (laughing). Not beneficial for the cannonfodder. They are the ones we tax in order to pay the interest. By us I mean the leaders of this nation. We all, to lesser or greater extent, get kickbacks from the interest we collect"

IW: "Isn't that a scam? Aren't you deceiving the citizens you govern?"

GR: "A scam is a point of view. We, the leaders, are not concerned about such petty definitions"

IW: "Ok, thank you for your time. I will report back to my media organization that your nation is under great threat from potential terrorist attacks"

GR: "Good. That will keep the cannonfodder in line"

For no particular reason I'm not convinced the illuminati are the capstone... I reckon they could turn out to be one level down. I don't think the real driving force has been exposed yet.

That's a new idea.

One thing is certain. Even if the Illuminati act much in secret, when they need to get things done they have to act the same way ordinary people, organizations and companies do. If they would manage to bring about a full Orwellian society, then their power to do what they want would increase; even very nasty acts could then not be stopped. Today we have in most countries at least decently humane laws. I hope the laws will not get much worse.
