Where are we headed?

I'm new at this subject. I've read the "Matrix" book and I'm currently reading the "Time Loop" book. I've also read some things on this site and seen some Icke videos on the web.

I don't have any particular problem believing the various points made. In fact I think it explains an awful lot of what I've already observed and wondered about. But, I'm a little confused about where this is all headed.

Is the consensus belief that the public will wake up and chase the bad guys away? Or, is it that we're doomed and nothing can be done about it?

I've seen mention of the Schumann Resonance and that it is increasing in frequency which may allow us to pierce through the veil of illusion at some point and see what is going on more clearly. Is this what is considered our best chance of overcoming all this or is there something else?

Sorry, if this all seems ignorant or naive. I'm just wondering what the views are about where this is all headed. How does this movie end?

I think the tipping point comes when enough of us have awoken to the mess that permeates our lives. I've had it explained to me as the 'Hundredth Monkey Syndrome' - a very good analogy.

There has to be a 'critical mass' of new thought for a change of conciousness to occur. Nothing will really change till then. When we stop giving our power away to 'them' & realise that WE, the great unwashed, CAN change the world, then indeed, great strides will be made for the benefit of the whole of mankind.

Don't be afraid of sounding 'naive' as you put it, for we are all in various stages of 'awakening'. ;)

There are numerous accounts from channelled souces, mystics & highly-evolved races, like the Hopi which attest to a coming global awakening.
As far as I can see, there isn't anything out there, apart from beliefs & personal opinions which would convince many seekers to the contrary.

For me, as well as others, the way forward is to do as much research as possible & choose to integrate only that which resonates within one's heart, for I believe it is there that one's/global truth will be found.

Could be because there have been numerous 'end of the world' dates in the past which have come to nowt, & some people are (understandibly) sceptical about 2012. I'm keeping an open mind over this, & reading as much stuff as I can. the trick here, I think is to develop an awareness of the subtle changes that are all around us.I think we are being given clues as we go along.

On a very personal level, I am looking forward to 2012, or whatever, as I am heartily sick of a lot of the goings on in this world
