Firstly i hope i posted this in the right section! Sorry if i havent.
Last night a group of friends were discussing drugs and teacher plants, and with what a few of them said I realised I needed some outside advice on saliva and ayahuasca.
Myself and a friend have been invited to a meditation type evening in which 20 or more will journey through the use of ayahuasca.
Now I just need to know what learning experience I'm in for. I've been told that I should smoke saliva and experience it before ayahuasca.
So yeah, if you have had an experience with either please enlighten me! :)

my other dilemma is that my partner, who is very intune with his physical and mental existance also wants to come along.
I need advice on this as he purely wants to try it from what he's read in David icke's book 'infinite love is the only truth'
Which seems fair enough to some, except he has never experienced any other drug. He's smoked weed with us before, but never been high. Nor does he drink alcohol because he has a bad association with it and weed.
So my question is, is it wrong for me to be angry and negative towards him wanting to throw himself into such an experience (by taking ayahuasca) without having experienced lighter drugs and teacher plants/drugs before?

Thanks guys!

hi there,

You said "Now I just need to know what learning experience I'm in for. I've been told that I should smoke saliva and experience it before ayahuasca.

ok well, smoking Salvia is really bad for your lungs and if you are doing ayuhuasca then you really dont need to have it. They cant make you have it for the ceremony.

it seems that most men have a harder time on ayahuasca than women, personally if my other half wanted to do i (which he did) would let him as it will really benefit your relationship if he did.

For me (us) it was absolutely lifechanging, i have another ceremony quite soon and i cant wait!

hope this helps

put salvia in a cup of tea,its effects last all day and wont be so harsh on your lungs.

Thanks abigail, that's a start. So you're saying that I don't need to try salvia to somewhat "prepare" for the ceremony and taking ayahuasca? Good news there! Do you mind in me asking how ayahuasca benefited your relationship? And what your experience was particularly like?

I guess I am scared that because it's something physically and spiritually new to me, that I need to be reassured that I'll come out of the experience ontop of it all. I guess because my partner has never done drugs that I'm also concerned he's not ready for a teacher plant and overall experience of aya. But you said we will benefit, so I'll trust in that. Thanks again abigail!

Also disorder- thankyou, I've read a lot more on salvia and I too think tea is the way to go :)
