Ducks are very self important (in a non arrogant way), very orderly and you can set your watch by them - all the while they are so cute! When I lived by a lake I would visit them frequently feeding them crumbs from bread loaf ends. I don't believe in throwing food away and the ducks appreciated it so.

One time, my then-husband caught a duck for me at the lake. I didn't like that as my relationship with them was on their terms - the duck quacked fiercely in protest but then calmed, he handed me the duck and it was a marvelous experience holding it but I released it after a few moments as I feared it wasn't really happy. We were, after all, on their turf.

Stewart, who played Enterprise captain Jacque Luc Picallo in the cult series Star Trek and also Captain Wheelchairman in the X-Men movies announced yesterday that an album was “in da mix” and “proper blinging”. Many critics are already claiming that the news is either a hoax or an extremely poor move from the aged thespian. Stewart is claiming he has been a closet rap and hip-hop fan since the 60’s and has been writing his own material since last week.

“Indeed most of the songs will be based on Star Trek themes, but as the fans know – that is my styleee.” said Stewart this morning. He has also released snippets of the kind of “rimes” he’s gonna be “stompin”. Here we have been given the exclusive to bring it to YOU first.

As far as my sig, the older I become, the more I view some older movies differently and for that reason enjoy re-watching them. When 'The Running Man' was first released I was in my 20's and only thought of it as neat, sci-fi, futuristic, imaginative affair. Now, it's frightening as I suppose the movie writers were hep to what would be technologically possible and how such could be misused.

This will make laugh me in the future - I think. Maybe it will make you chuckle now?

Here's the scene:

We wanted to cap off the unused because it's too expensive to operate sprinkler system in the yard. We will do it at the main feed. I pick ax through the soil then shovel it away. Mother - who installed the sprinkler system - then tries to cut the appropriate pipe with a cutter but the cutter wouldn't work. I get the sawzall and saw through where she tells me to. She directs the second cut. I cut. Then she says, 'Uh, oh! We've got a problem.' I ask what she means. She tells me that I just cut the main to the house.

She tries to fit a coupler on. I say we'd better dig back a bit to allow for flexibility of the pipe. She says that isn't necessary. She tries to fit the coupling on and breaks the PCV at the T-pipe.

I ask if we have more 1" to feed a longer coupling? No. Didn't I suggest we go to the store first to insure we have all we need? She says she didn't think this would happen.

She's at the store now which is the next town over buying supplies and I just finishing pick axing and shoveling a 4' long and 2' deep larger bloody hole for extra working room. Dad's at work - the lucky man.

This would make a funny program. But it's not over yet. We have to finish up the job when she returns.

I'm sure one day I will laugh at this but now I'm disgustingly filthy and tired. I hope this 'Two Stooges' real life episode brings a smile to you. :)

The pipe is sorta fixed. Cut too long and bowed but just a bit. Mother decided the neighbor's college son had the superior knowledge in the situation(he's studying computer programming) but the connection is handling one third pressure very well.

Comedy of errors indeed. I've despised sprinkler systems all my life.

Dad and I will dig the hole even larger, recut and refit another piece this weekend, test it out and BURY THE DARN THING!

Dave came home from the pub late one Friday evening stinking drunk, as he often did, and crept into bed beside his wife who was already asleep.

He gave her a peck on the cheek and fell asleep. When he awoke, he found a strange man standing at the end of his bed. 'Who the hell are you?', demanded Dave, 'and what are you doing in my bedroom ?'

The mysterious man answered, 'This isn't your bedroom and I'm St Peter.'


Dave was stunned. 'You mean I'm dead !!! That can't be, I have so much to live for - and I haven't said goodbye to my family. . . You've got to send me back straight away.'

St Peter replied, 'Yes, you can be reincarnated but there is a catch. We can only send you back as a dog or a hen.'

Dave was devastated, but knowing there was a farm not far from his house, he asked to be sent back as a hen.

A flash of light later, he was covered in feathers and clucking around, pecking the ground. 'This ain't so bad', he thought until he felt this strange feeling
welling up inside him.

The farmyard rooster strolled over and said, 'So you're the new hen, How are you enjoying your first day here ?'

'It's not so bad', replies Dave, 'but I have this strange feeling inside like I'm about to explode.'

'You're ovulating', explained the rooster. 'Don't tell me you've never laid an egg before.'

'Never', replies Dave.

'Well just relax and let it happen'.

And so he did and after a few uncomfortable seconds later, an egg pops out from under his tail. An immense feeling of relief swept over him and his emotions got the better of him as he experienced motherhood for the first time.

When he laid his second egg, the feeling of happiness was overwhelming and he knew that being reincarnated as a hen was the best thing that ever happened to him . . . Ever!!!

The joy kept coming and as he was just about to lay his third egg, he felt an enormous smack on the back of his head and heard his wife shouting...

'Dave, wake up, you drunken bastard. You've shit the bed !!'
