"America's First Lady Michelle Obama broke royal protocol during a reception at Buckingham Palace when she placed her arm around the Queen.

But rather than take offence, Her Majesty took the unusual step of returning the gesture by putting her arm round Mrs Obama's waist - almost as if to confirm the special relationship the politicians are so keen to play up.

The extraordinary scenes took place yesterday as Barack Obama made his first visit to Britain as U.S. President. " link (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1166490/Did-Michelle-Obama-break-royal-protocol-giving-Queen-hug.html)

I wonder what that was really all about? I suspect it is a purposeful, symbolic act - not a spontaneous 'oversight' of Michelle Obama's. Are we to believe she was not thoroughly informed on the etiquette she is expected to observe when meeting the Queen?

Michelle is exhibiting dominating body language (under the guise of caring or concern).

Someone else put it better:
"It's all about body language power play, you can watch it in action between Brown and Obama, each one of them will try and get their arm around each others back, to signify dominance. Next time you see those two on TV, look out for this! GWB was a master at doing this!"

On the subject of body language, I noticed on the news footage that Aussie PM Kevid Rudd at one point stood close to the Queen and leaned towards her, when they met for the cameras, almost as though leaning over her, and she took a step back as her personal space was invaded and continued to keep her distance.

Whats wrong Liz, you dont trust that he may be representing the chinaman and playing both sides? Thats if there even is two sides what do i know  ... Or was the white hair freaking you out since thats your thing.
