I see this as another good example/metaphor of how there's something behind reality.

Google images ftw!

They sure do...I link it now to subliminal messages

Magic Eye Patterns : were pretty much a page of random patterns that looked like static on the TV. However, if you looked at them the right way (or lied) you could see a 3D picture.

I had forgot how powerful these were take a look at this one..if you haven't done this before look in the distance and then move into the poster still focusing on the background..it will come eventually

..it seems a bit fishy!!

Great thread...

..and I haven't been able to see one of them yet! :D

I didn't know you could do this with a computer screen. Will keep trying.

As said, this is an excellent living metaphor of focus determining reality.

Try it with images of Aboriginal cave paintings (I imagine it'd work much better from a book than a screen).

Some of them are extraordinary, and you can see a previously unknown and vibrant world, swirling in depth within the rock walls and spirit faces emerging at you.

Caution: if you're prone to possession, I wouldn't suggest trying the above. :o

I never used to be able to see these things until one day I was staring vacantly in the direction of one at the science museum. It just appeared and I have been able to see them ever since.
