Unbelievable but true, the ball is already rolling and it seems that nothing can stop it. Until now, our society looked over other political ideologies, and proudly remembered them that we live in a system that grants freedom of speech. Well… it seems that’s over.
Very few people realise that this fundamental pillar of freedom is slowly disappearing. And if you still believe that you can freely speak out your mind without being prosecuted for it, you are up for a big surprise.
I guess that most of you already know that David Icke was taken to court after publishing his book “Children of the Matrix”. However, what I’m talking about is a more serious law that can easily take you to prison for simply speaking up you mind. And what are the reasons given by our governments to end up censoring speech? The all might terrorism threat. Yes… again, and will probably do it again and again, until we fully surrender all our liberties to be at last safe from terrorism.
It really shocked me when I heard for the first time that people were imprisoned in Spain for the simple reason of being members of a political party, or publishing a newspaper, or protesting, or gathering together or even speaking out their minds. No, I’m not talking about 100 years ago, not even 50 years ago; I’m talking about this year. But at first I thought: “It’s terrible… but well… that’s in Spain. It’s still supposed to be full of fascist (as they killed any other ideologies during the civil war)". But I was up for a surprise when I just found out that these same laws also exist in the UK.
You have probably heard recently in the news about this Basque guy that is going to be sent to jail for just saying: “kick the ball forward”. You think I’m joking? Read this article from the BBC (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/7935374.stm). He literally said “kick the ball forward” in Basque, that’s all; reason enough to be sentenced to prison in Spain.
The problem is that this guy is living in Northern Ireland, and the Spanish police couldn’t detain him overseas. Unfortunately for him, it seems that the same law also exists in the UK, therefore, our government has decided that he has committed a crime and that he can be sent to prison in Spain under the extradition laws. Amazing!!!
You are probably asking: But what is the crime that this man committed? No less than “Glorified terrorism”.
By the way, are there any lawyers around? I’m wondering if I can post this message without being prosecuted.
