I kid you not, I thought my eyes were deceiving me. This is the plot for the fourth Indiana Jones movie (released May 22, 2008), as taken from imdb.

"Indiana Jones returns to the big screen. Nineteen years after finding and losing the Holy Grail, Indiana is called by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the organization holding the Ark from "Raiders". The Council and it's counterpart cousin, the Trilateral Commission, are missing an important piece to the Ark. If found, it will restored to its original place in the world. However, this task won't be easy for Indiana because an artifact, "the All Seeing Eye Jewel of 12 Stones," called "Ephod," helps to find it and reveals about prophecy about the coming of Melchizedek from the book of Genesis and Indiana learns more than he bargained for."

Talk about a blatent slap in the face.

Might be wrong on this because I can't be bothered to chase any more links today but isn't the time frame in this plot line a little out of sync. The CFR certainly existed from the early 1920's but not sure about the Trilateral Commission: don't think that came into being ( officially anyway) until the 1970's but as I said I may be wrong on this. How accurately is IMDB moderated?.

The Trilateral Commission was founded in 1973. I don't know the time frame of the Indy 4 movie.

But, the imdb info does appear a bit hoax-ish. Like somebody's idea of a joke. ;)

(But, Spielberg is still a sell-out regardless). :)
