1. What is a 13-Moon Calendar? A 13-Moon Calendar is the logical and natural way to count the 365-day year cycle. Instead of 12 months which are 28, 29, 30, or 31 days long, the year is instead measured into 13 months, each one an even 28 days. 13 moons of 28 days each gives 364 days - plus 1 "day out of time," a day of celebration and forgiveness, to acknowledge the passing year and welcome in the new year.

Unlike the 12-month calendar which corresponds to no natural cycles, the thirteen moon calendar is a "solar-lunar calendar" because 365 days is the measure of the Earth going around the Sun (solar) and 28 days is the average measure of the Moon's synodic and sidereal cycles (lunar).
Every year cycle begins not as January 1st, but instead with July 26th as Day 1 of Moon 1. The correlate dates are fixed - for example, "January 1st" will always correspond to "Rhythmic Moon 20" (the 20th day of the 6th moon).
Printed around the world by people of diverse cultures and faiths, this 13 Moon calendar is proposed as the harmonious alternative to the unnatural, irregular 12-month yearly calendar which serves as the current world standard of time.
The 13-Moon calendar is the modern dispensation of ancient and indigenous wisdom and science. These codes, numbers, and cycles were known by earth dwellers and cosmic seers of past ages, and now, by us as we reawaken this knowledge within our own living cells.

2. Why Change Calendars? What's wrong with the calendar we have now?

In Campaign For the New Time, Dr. José Argüelles writes:
"To change the calendar is to change history itself...If we choose the 13 Moon Calendar, the species will operate by a 28-day cycle which is the female biological cycle. We will pace our daily lives by a perpetual calendar that will release the mind into the telepathic norms that are a property of the universal 13:20 timing frequency. We will find that this tool synchronizes the lunar and other world calendars according to a mathematical harmony previously unknown. And released into an entirely different state of consciousness we will soon realize technologies that are mental rather than material in nature. A new synchronic order of human life will unify the planet.
"Is a calendar something more than a tool for scheduling the payment of debts (calends) or is it an instrument of synchronization? The harmony or disharmony of time is a profound matter rooted in the instrument of time reckoning that we use. There can be little question that we live more in a time of chaos than of harmony. We may also say in regard to the effect of standards of measure on the mind, that the chaos of the time is embedded in the calendar we use. If we are to leave this time of chaos and enter a time of harmony, then we must change the instrument in which the chaos is embedded for an instrument that is the very model of harmony - the 13 Moon, 28 day count.
"The Gregorian calendar, the current global civil standard is indeed the foundation in time of globalization...Only a species whose time sensibility had been captured by instruments of artificial measure could have become so alienated as to have produced the monstrous conundrum known as the 'fast world,' a civilization where money and technological advance prevail over human sensibility and the natural order. It is to the correction of this destructive momentum that all efforts of calendar reform must now be directed."
The global dominance of our modern 12-month business calendar results from centuries of imperial conquest.
Last modified by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582, the "Gregorian Calendar" is the current world standard because of the forceful issuance of this system upon conquered (indigenous) peoples who lost their land as well as their religious freedoms. The Gregorian calendar presents an archaic depiction of Time. It is a product of its predecessors - Julius Caesar's calendar and the earlier "calends" (schedule of taxation) of the Roman Empire.
Guarding the power of a patriarchial priesthood and a neo-feudal financial system, this calendar programs us - through our adherence to its systematic disharmony - to perpetuate a lifestyle of "time is money."
Consumption over creativity, marketplace over morality, we are walking a path that is not leading us to a promising future. Now knowing we have been misled by a false understanding of time, it is our right and responsibility to explore and reclaim our true connection to Time.

I made a post about this same thing on the old forum.

It seems that women's cycles are governed by the moon (my own opinion).

My gf has 13 periods a year, once per moon cycle!
Talk about warewolfs:D

The Mayans time scale were of 13's where today we use 60 or 100.

Time and the Technosphere: The Law of Time in Human Affairs (Paperback)
by José Argüelles
In Time and the Technosphere, Jose Arguelles presents a groundbreaking study that distinguishes the natural time of the cosmos from the artificial mechanistic time under which we currently live. Arguelles defines the actual nature of time as the frequency of synchronization.
Applying this Law of Time to an understanding of the entire system of life on Earth, he shows that in order to not destroy Earth's ability to sustain life, we must change our definition of time and adopt a natural harmonic calendar based on the 13-moon 28-day cycle. Until the creation of the Gregorian calendar and the 60-minute hour, most of humanity lived by the 28-day cycle of natural time. The adoption of artificial time has subjected us to a 12:60 time frequency that governs the entire global industrialized civilization-the technosphere. With the collapse of the Twin Towers on September 11, a fissure was created in this artificial technosphere, opening up the noosphere (Earth's mental envelope).

Humanity has a golden opportunity to leave the strife of the past and enter a time of peace by adopting a harmonious natural calendar that will repair the damages caused by the irregular tempo of technospheric time. Our last best chance to adopt this natural time and step into the bright new future promised by the galactic shift of 2012 is the Great Calendar Change of 2004, a new discovery based on the author's mathematical research into the Mayan calendar first begun in his landmark work The Mayan Factor. In Time and the Technosphere, Arguelles reveals the clear distinction between third-dimensional astronomical time and the fourth-dimensional synchronic order of the Law of Time, which holds enormous potential for the future of humanity.

If we Have Read David Icke Latest News Letter, i think this Fits in VERY Well in some regards... Even tho time isnt Real. This Re Firms the point that our Current Calendar is Based from Babylon!

The 12-month calendar (http://www.13moon.com/nat%20cal%2012month.htm) is arbitrary and irregular, lacking any correspondence to actual cycles of nature. Put simply by physicist Mark Comings:"The 12 month calendar has a cycle that is contrary to and out of phase with the natural annual 13 fold gravitational wave created by the Moon's orbit around the Earth."
This lack of harmony, though generally un-examined, has a profound effect on the way we relate to the Universe we live within.

Movements of the Stars, Moons and Planets have eternally served mankind as reference points for relating to the Nature of Time.

This graphic 2-dimensionally depicts the Earth travelling around the Sun:

The current world calendar divides the year as if it were a 2-D circle. 360 degrees of a flat circle are portioned into 12 subsections of 30 degrees each, giving us "30" day months. This method of calendrics dates back to ancient Babylon and provides the template for the current 12-month calendar and 12-hour clock (doubling the calculation, we get 24 hours and 60 minutes). The 12-month model for measuring time fails for the 365-day year divided arbitrarily into 30-day months leaves 5 extra days!

How does it resolve this discrepancy?

Some of the months are 31 days, some 30, yet February gets 28 days, except for an extra day once every four years (but not on centuries, except those divisible by the number four).

"30 days has Septober. April, June, and no wonder. All the rest have peanut butter, except my grandmother, who has a little red tricycle." -Mad Magazine, circa 1958

Wonder why (http://www.13moon.com/sept-dec%20link.htm) the months named September through December, which literally mean 7-10, are actually months 9-12? What's in a name?

The system of 12 months and a corresponding 12 hour : 60-minute clock, is known as the 12:60 timing frequency (http://www.13moon.com/LAW%20OF%20TIME.htm), and has yet to be proven as a viable measure of time. This flat perception of time does not correlate to any actual cycles of time! It is an artificial model of reality. It is encoding humanity with a comprehension of the natural world as disharmonious and non-coherent!

For me, the day is down with the sun is down. During the summer though, I prefer to see it as a festive time. Work hard, yes. But play as much as you want. Just don't forget what is important.

The lunar cycle: effects on human and animal behavior and physiology.

Department of Experimental Therapy, The Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy, Polish Academy of Sciences, Wrocław, Poland. zimecki@iitd.pan.wroc.pl

Human and animal physiology are subject to seasonal, lunar, and circadian rhythms. Although the seasonal and circadian rhythms have been fairly well described, little is known about the effects of the lunar cycle on the behavior and physiology of humans and animals. The lunar cycle has an impact on human reproduction, in particular fertility, menstruation, and birth rate. Melatonin levels appear to correlate with the menstrual cycle. Admittance to hospitals and emergency units because of various causes (cardiovascular and acute coronary events, variceal hemorrhage, diarrhea, urinary retention) correlated with moon phases. In addition, other events associated with human behavior, such as traffic accidents, crimes, and suicides, appeared to be influenced by the lunar cycle. However, a number of reports find no correlation between the lunar cycle and human reproduction and admittance to clinics and emergency units. Animal studies revealed that the lunar cycle may affect hormonal changes early in phylogenesis (insects). In fish the lunar clock influences reproduction and involves the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis. In birds, the daily variations in melatonin and corticosterone disappear during full-moon days. The lunar cycle also exerts effects on laboratory rats with regard to taste sensitivity and the ultrastructure of pineal gland cells. Cyclic variations related to the moon's phases in the magnitude of the humoral immune response of mice to polivinylpyrrolidone and sheep erythrocytes were also described. It is suggested that melatonin and endogenous steroids may mediate the described cyclic alterations of physiological processes. The release of neurohormones may be triggered by the electromagnetic radiation and/or the gravitational pull of the moon. Although the exact mechanism of the moon's influence on humans and animals awaits further exploration, knowledge of this kind of biorhythm may be helpful in police surveillance, medical practice, and investigations involving laboratory animals.

Fertility, menstruation, and births
The possibility of a lunar effect on the menstrual cycle was investigated in 312 university students [8]. Of 312 women, 68 experienced lunar-period cycles (29.5 days). Forty-seven women of that group menstruated in the light half of the month; therefore, ovulation tended to occur in the dark phase of the lunar period, defined as the half cycle of the month from the last quarter through the new moon. Even women with irregular menses tended to ovulate during the dark phase of the lunar period. The author speculated that the lunar cycle is associated with the natural rhythm of electromagnetic radiation, which has an effect on the human menstrual cycle. In another study comprising 826 female volunteers [18] with normal menstrual cycles, a large proportion (28.3%) menstruated around the new moon, while at other times during the lunar month the proportions of menstruation were lower (8.8–12.6%)
