Maybe I'm being too paranoid but everytime I see this commercial it makes me think that the folks at VISA are doing everything they can to promote a cashless society. Basically everything runs so smooth and effective and perfect without cash, take a look at the peoples faces when they have to stop because someone pays with cash, they look at him with disgust. I'd love to get your takes on this video. The motto they have is life takes visa, hmm...almost as if they are saying you can't live life without visa.

yes it's interesting they use social conformity there to illustrate paying with cash is some kind of disease.
If anything, paying electronically has never been more annoying. "ooh the card won't swipe; your credit is too low; the central computer is down; the phone line is broken".

yeah i agree- we're all f**ked once we go completely over to electronic money!! i was in the supermarket the other day and a chap infront of me had just spent £250 on shopping- but his card wouldnt swipe- it was actually the fault of Tesco's not the guy- and the lady at the counter said so herself but she had to ask the guy to go and withdraw the cash out the cashpoint and come back- he said he couldnt as it was a credit card and so he had to leave all that shopping- there was a lot too- must have taken a good 2hrs to do that lot!! poor guy!! he wasnt best pleased!
i was also in sainsbury's last week and was handed a leaflet at the checkout to say 'after april 2008 we will no longer accept cheques!!'
only cash or card!!
