The Japanese economy is in the toilet. There seems to be no way they can revive it. Also Japans population is in rapid decline. All bad omens for the Japanese people.

What has always been a favoured method of stimulating an economy in the past?
WAR.

Is this the reason for Japans aggressive attitude towards North Korea?

See this important link about targetting a North Korean space probe about to be launched...in the next few days!

The scary thing is that the leaders of for example Japan and North Korea can make an agreement to start a conflict with each other just to improve their economies. That's highly psychopathic behaviour but we have seen in the past how leaders have no problem sacrificing some of their populations.

The ruling elite EVEN somehow have managed to get the masses think of sacrifice for one's country or sacrifice for other such causes as being something good and something to be done with pride. That's insanity! I have ranted endlessly about the evil of sacrifice in other threads and will stop myself here lest I start spewing my hatred in all directions.

I note that political correctness has not caught up with the term "Jap's eye" yet and I suppose it is because New Labour don't want to go there.
That and I don't know of a politically correct alternative and you can imagine Tony Blair being worried abut the "story" if he formed a think tank to make a politically correct alternative.
And then he went away.

In a way, i'd love our rulers to make up WW3 and say to us, "you must fight for your country", and we all say, ner, you do it :D

When I was in school I got into trouble for asking the teacher what the Japanese for Jap's eye was.

So damn funny it was worth it!!!!
