...PC illiterates,like me,are all over this board.Wishing to know,what you can really do here,I have prepared a page for members to post questions to the
moderators...and hopefully in time,they get answered.Mine first...
1)...is there anyway,I can upload a song from my HDD to my profile,so visitors can have a sample...at their choosing.I was hoping to put a new one each week...to pervert the course of the accursed top 40 and mislead other to more colourful ventures.It's kind of like a profile make over...Thankyou...
if so,what format(prefer WMA or Mp3)...and how long,or filesize,it should be
...I promise not to put the 18minute long Sister Ray by the Velvet Underground.

You can, but this forum doesn't have that addon installed, why would it?
I would prefer to have such an option if this place was about music/DJ's/etc. then it would be appropriate to have one. :)
I understand you though, but this could also slow down the forums... ;)

Wow,your technical capabilities are a refreshing sight to the inept like me....I was curious,Pumma,because you can upload a video to your profile,from the web,sadly,and not your own PC,but was interested in customising,you know,that personal touch.I love very strange,underground music,get a thrill,when people ask,wide-eyed,errr,what is that,doubley pleased,if you run around screaming:D...Especially,if you're a bad neighbour,Play a little Metal Machine Music....you'll get it.
....There's alot of us,who know very little with PC's.Just the last week,only began,experimenting with text,size and colours...may have to use the Rant room to experiment,won't matter so much there.
....I read you comments on the "Who wants to be a Mod"page,wanted to thank you there,but it's closed,so I thank you for your time and interest here

Frankly, I'm glad such an addon is not installed. The last thing I want is to be just simply wanting to write a hello message to someone on their page and, BAM! I'm hit with some song by Lady Gaga or some such distasteful music.
Frankly, I doubt I would like many peoples taste in music, just I know many would not like mine.

and for others to put them here...you'd be amazed,how much,I pick up,just reading chats on this forum,like photo posting,I used Image shack and
could'nt post large photos,even if you resize...so there's anpther question there...
...But,if people understood this thread,there would be more entries here,unless,everyone is adept...thankyou ,regards Jason.

I'll explain in steps in case someone isn't familiar with this subject...
Step 1
Go to http://www.imageshack.us/
Step 2
Select "Browse" and find your desired file... When selected, double-click or just hit OK to confirm selected file... Click "start upload!"

Step 3
Wait a few moments and you should get a screen like this (see below):

As you can see the "Direct link to image" is at the top of the selection...
Now copy the link and ... Click this icon in the reply Menu "http://img.skitch.com/20090401-faj11enjiw9mit9usrr7i4wgiq.jpg" and a window will pop-up...

Now Paste your link in here and hit OK.
Step 4

moment (mix of codeine and pseudoephedrine)...zoom,snooze...etc.

Idea - Get a lastfm (http://www.last.fm) page, create a radio station/playlist and place your chosen songs there and then post a link to it?

Our instructions are somewhat different to that and do not need to be placed in the image box.
If you use the hotlink to forums (which is below the pic) you just place link directly in body of post and do not need to use the image icon.
Either way works but they are slightly different.
and I do believe the instructions are a sticky in Members stuff, not General :)

...so tell me,by the clues you left,people don't actually upload videos to their profile at all...but upload a link to the web page...and paste it to their profile..

realise you work hard,even on week-ends.But if this thread,works the way I hope it does,it could also lessen it,by posting once and for all,all the same

What people on this site actually write hello messeges on peoples pages, fuck me!, that must be surreal man, never had that experience.lol. I've had the odd nasty e.mail from shills that work for the government warning me to watch what i say.:D

I'm usually pretty quick with new things, but I wasn't aware of the user messages until you told me about it, hahaha. Funny where life takes us isn't it? Love ya too man. :D

Yeah,I remember,you can have a privacy setting for that,so only friend and contacts see the messages.I go into lockdown,if something's sus, is up...
...I'll be honest why I told you,love chatting with you,but my PM,is never under 95% full,so I tend for VM's instead of PM's...Pm's is for privacy,but won't use PM's for normal chat.But the privacy setting on,it's only viewable
to those you choose.Which is a good thing,Love Jase:)
