Some research I did tells me the most natural ways of getting eyesight back naturally are , the bates method, yoga, the alexander technique, and various body muscle exercises, followed by a healthy lifestyle.
But my question is, has anyone done it using any of those techniques, specifically the bates method ?

I went to the first Alternative View event in Totnes in the UK. There was a booth there selling glasses that was actually just black cardboard or plastic with lots of small holes in it. They claimed it could be used to train the eyes to become strong again.
So I guess that might be an answer to your question. I guess it might work in theory.

Ive heard of them, pinhole glasses.
They help to some degree, I own a pair, and over time they can improve it, but I dont know if they repair eyes to 20/20.

You mean so they become equal in strength of focus? Probably not. Would take some greater science to make glasses that focuses mostly on one eye. Also it seems unlikely that they can restore eyes fully.
I have done it, though I've been too lazy to do the excercises lately.
I have the book by William Bates and a poster for practice.
I had bad experiences with contactlenses since I was nineteen (only my left eye) and decided not to wear them anymore after years of infections.
In a few years I went from (left eye) -4,50 to -2,75. Right eye is only -0,50.
I don't wear glasses. I also have the pinhole glasses, but they give me a migraine. Don't know either how much they can do.
A doctor told me that I probably started eating more carrots, very funny. Could be a natural process though.
Here is a website with exercises:

the pinhole glasses: (here for 7,99, I saw them for $26 on another website!
I paid mine 42 euro...)

:D Amazing, yes. It may be a natural process as a doctor said, but you never know. I believe in 'recovery' of that sort.
What I noticed is that my eyes won't get better wearing glasses: the right eye, which is only -0,50 even gets lazy.
And....it won't harm the eyes to excercise, I think!
With the eye-training chart I get the best results (after a few weeks)
The Bates-method also says that sunshine is very good for your eyes. I still wear sunglasses when it's very sunny though.

I recently had my eyes tested for the first time in my life where I was told that I needed to start wearing reading glasses. I have found since wearing them that my eyesight has become poorer and I suffer constant headaches.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've had nothing but trouble wearing glasses.
I have one pair now that I only use when I have to go to a presentation and have to read from a large distance.
Years ago I got glasses from a prescription and they had measured my eyes completely wrong! I remember going outside of the shop and thinking:
"What is this, it looks as if my feet are much closer than they were, or I have shrunk or I'm Alice in Wonderland"
It was very weird. I went back to the shop and they told me that it could take as much as four weeks to get used to a new pair.
After one week of trouble I couldn't take it anymore. I was experiencing severe headaches and felt nauseous. That's not normal!! I never wore them again.
The right glasses would have to feel pleasant instantly.
