An exclusive poll for the BBC's Daily Politics programme has found a majority of the British people support the UKIP policy of withdrawal from the European Union.
When asked in the poll if Britain should leave the EU but maintain close trading links, 55% agreed with 41% disagreeing.
Despite the strength of the euro against the pound there was little appetite for Britain joining the single currency.
When asked if the current economic crisis has made people more likely to join the euro, only 31% agreed with 64% disagreeing.
On the question of whether Britain benefits overall from membership of the European Union in terms of jobs and trade only 44% agreed with 51% disagreeing.

that's is good news in one sense but I would have hoped that the percentage of people against the EU would have been a lot more...which it would be if the public were more informed on the actual consequences of joining the EU instead of being brainwashed with propaganda.

Does anyone know of any good Anti-EU leaflets? UK-centric, ideally. If not I susppose I could do my own but I'd rather use something already in place :)
I plan on leafleting my area, just prior to the June elections.

Pay attention. Basically admiting that what the people want is of no concern.

If you do come up with a leaflet, could you post it here please? You could always ask your local UKIP branch for material.

Waddya think? What changes should be made? I thought I'd keep it short and to the point.

So what? Well over 70% of Americans were against the banker bailout. I've heard estimates of up to 95%. They don't care what the public things. The media will still act like the public loves the government. Even on the eve of revolution, you will see a poll saying "65% of citizens are optimistic for the future!"

So What? It doesn't mean we sit around and do nothing. If you always do what you've done you'll always get what you've got. People do the same things over and over again, making the same mistakes and wonder why their lives are not working out.

I don`t know if you good people on this thread have read articles on the freeman-on-the-land section, basically when we take back our power and not give it away a phrase David Icke has used or words to that effect, then you will find that no government has the divine right to govern us.

not that this really applies to the UK, but I have an Irish tri-colour and a little EU flag one which I fly off my house on EU polling days with a huge sign which reads "Our Great Grandparents Didn't Die for the Blue One" I live the house just across from the polling station so everyone who who is going to vote it is the last thing they see before voting.
Will be going out for the next Lisbon Vote and nothing the Man can do about it as it is on my property.
Maybe start trying stuff like that?

I remember when our local MP came round the class to give a PR talk.
I asked him why the majority don't always get their way in a 'democracy' (eg back then it was the 'death penalty').
He said something that shocked me, only paraphrasing slightly, he replied that 'people make stupid decisions, that's what we have politicians for to stop that happening'.
So much for 'democracy'.

Absolutely correct, we are the power, powerful beyond measure and the PTB know this. It's time we started realising it:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
