The papers are put on department websites just like Steven Jones' 911 work. Circulation of papers is nothing suspicious, so I know as soon as someone complains about something every Professor does today it is likely just propaganda.

Of course I am aware of peer review. While papers are peer reviewed by several referees, they are circulated amongst a wider audience in the field and presented by the researcher at various seminars around the country. During this process, the researcher places the working paper on their website. BYU accused Jones of doing nothing more than this standard procedure, somehow calling standard operating procedure an academic violation. I'm sure as a host of a show about freedom, you would acknowledge that BYU has a history of abuse of academic freedom. He did submit his work to peer review and while this process was taking place, he put the work on his website just as all scientists would do.

Your argument about refusing to submit to professional journals is wrong, you can go look at his CV and see plenty of peer reviewed journal articles.

Scientists in many fields often publish articles in books as well as journals, although journals are much more prestigious, we don't think of every book article as meaningless and unscientific.

As he said, the thermite evidence has been confirmed by an independent lab. The existence of the red grey chips was I believe acknowledged by Mark Roberts on your show, although he had an explanation for them.

Anyway, I clearly disagree with the man about some things. But he has made some good points and your arguments against him don't stand up to further scrutiny.

Judy Wood on the other hand, I could see a better argument for her doing "unscientific work" because she basically just flashes pictures and asks leading questions. That doesn't mean she's wrong, but the procedure isn't scientific. The stj group also isn't right on everything, but they are trying to get work published in journals.

I'm sure you would recognize the difficulty of getting correct but controversial articles published in mainstream journals. You could go through every major field and find a series of once controversial ideas that couldn't get published that are now consensus.
