So what have the powers that be been up to while the nation's been obsessing over the death of a c-list nobody?? Not seen any news for a while, have I missed anything?

Plenty of bullcaca. How about a little imminent something called the G20...
It reminds that old saying good girls go to heaven, bad girls go everywhere
Good people grieve for 'our' Jade Goody, bad people harp on about nwo and globalisation. You know, the radical tedious fuckers and their conspiracy theories...

The only people really interested in the Jade story are sheeple anyway, so there isn't much need to distract them from anything.

Assuming your question was not rhetorical, then our corrupt Fabian government has been busy planning the introduction of new laws and revising their 'counterterrorism strategy' in order to protect us from those big bad nasty terrorists.
"Some 60,000 people in Britain, including security guards, hotel staff and store managers, are being trained in how to deal with an incident and what to look out for."
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/article5956342.ece
Some pearls of wisdom from the one-eyed slackjaw :
"Of the 80 terrorists now behind bars, half of them pleaded guilty. We know this is hitting terrorists' morale as well as disrupting more than a dozen plots that could have caused hundreds of deaths."

There are many different colours of sheeple. I always thought it was the concept of being one that was the issue not the breed. Are you not all sheeple who follow a particular shepleherd?

LOL, not entirely rhetorical, no ;). Nice one for the links...They've got us spying on each other then? Lovely...Anyone have any news from the g20?
The only people really interested in the Jade story are sheeple anyway, so there isn't much need to distract them from anything. I agree and disagree with the sheeple issue...I think this Jade business is effecting a wider audience. Anybody with a sense of decency thinks they should be appalled by this tragedy and think it's terrible, Which it is, but no more so than the millions of other people who "died with their boots on", ie; with some dignity instead of whoring themselves out to the gutter press. Now as far as I'm concerned, all she's done has made some massively rich big pharma co. a lot of money by scaring young women into having these more than likely, dangerous jabs for a disease that effects their age group in very small numbers. The fear, sadness and anger she and the media has generated is fucking disgusting. She should've stayed at home and gone through this in private.
Good people grieve for 'our' Jade Goody, bad people harp on about nwo and globalisation. You know, the radical tedious fuckers and their conspiracy theories... Precisely, if you don't care that much or don't well up every time you see her, you're viewed as some kind of monster, who needs real issues when you've got these blown out of proportion heart string pullers to wind everyone up with? I wonder how much Jade her self gave a fuck about palestine, iraq, afghanistan, zimbabwe and all the other places of genocide/injustice etc. while she was shilling her fucking perfume? Not one iota of concern I'll bet...But we're meant to forget about all them people and stand in awe of the bravery and courage of "the diana from the wrong side of the tracks (insert vomit emoticon here:)") Stephen Fry with that very statement showed himself up for the twat he really is. It was a typical diplomatic, middle of the road responce.
In a nutshell, I think this is a massive conjob and diversion in equal measure. She was no princess of the people at all, until the papers/media decided they were gonna make her into one. And if anybody thinks she was, get some self respect, she was no one to look up to; the world is full of people who are worth a hundred Jade Goody's who never get their name mentioned.
But anyway R.I.P Jade, it is sad, but i'm not gonna pretend I love her just because she's dead...I hope people have the decency to treat me with the contempt I've shown in this post if I ever become a shallow, attention seeking, agenda pushing, ignorant, media puppet celebrity.

I think sheeple is used in this context to discribe those who don't justify their nastiness by highlighting a dead celebraties nasty traits. Those that do are as bad as. Think about it.

Not really the masses, more the media/journalists who are showing how mentally ill they all are.
Was watching some hysterical journalist on the TV at the laundrette outside Goody's home talking about the "mini chelsea flower show" of solidarity the people of the UK are showing for "our Jade".
I am not kidding, there was about 40 bunches of flowers and for some reason an Irish tri-colour on the fance. So much for a nation in mouring. Bet that lowlife vampire Clifford bought most of them and handed them to kids to put on the ground when the cameras were rolling.

Hehe, those that can certainly do their best to sqeeze every last drop out of this. Just read (courtesy of the daily mail) that the funeral is referred to as a Jade Goody Production - and is an elaborately staged event, designed by goody herself. This entire soap is like a russian doll set of phoniness inside phoniness inside phoniness.
