My mate is a big fan of Dr Who & keeps urging me to watch it, as the content is relevant to what's going on.

As I hardly ever watch TV these days I keep forgetting, but really wanna get into it now, especially when she described the episode about the Last of the Timelords... WOW!! I've caught a couple of episodes here & there & quite enjoyed them, but have to get into them more now I think...

Anyway, I've gotta ask... are there any other Dr Who fans out there....????

i used to watch it as a kid and watched all the new episodes to do a bit of male bonding with my grandkids , the show always had the reptile alien thing running thru it in the past but this new series has some amazing bits of insights in it ., ive posted some bits in other threads about it as well .While were on the subject ask Hagbard Celine ,"Lynda, you're sweet. From what I've seen of your world, do you think anybody votes for sweet?"
Doctor Who- Bad Wolf

Do you know his new assistant is going to be:
Catherine Tate
I liked the twist that Captain Jack
was the face of Bo,

One twist that they could put into it
Would be to have Rose as his mother,
And the master as his father.

The master didn't die,
His essence went into the ring,
And was found by the female time lord(probably)
forget her name though.

yeh i wondered if that was the time lady lol or was it his woman who shot him she had a red dress on , the red dress programme again matrix ? who picked up the ring , cant wait to see how it all progresses ,i was a father once he said to rose in his tennant incarnation , and the way they keep giving little hints about his childhood like showing the master as a child as well .As mcgann said in the movie im half human but only on my mothers side , all very spock or should i say christ like considering the scene where he regenerates and holds out his arms while wearing nothing but a shroud from the morgue and looks up and shouts who am i .Lots of mentions of him being the lonely angel and a god throughout as well . !3 regenerations is it ? maybe if we still have tv they will give him more in the future because he is the last one who knows , strange how he got smaller as the master made him his real age yet jack as the face of bo (can i get a rewind ) got larger even if it was only his head knowing jack the way we do im suprised it was that head they chose but brilliant never the less. Someone lend me a tardis so i can go watch the next series :D

The plot of "last of the Timelords" was truly awesome

"The Master" (illuminati uber genius himself enslaved to a consciousness from the Time Vortex (Time Loop?)) travels to Earth and manipulates time to establish a global mind control system based on 15 satellites covering the planet, and enslaves the human race

One woman (Martha Jones, wow she's hot) travels the globe for a year with a simple message: at the moment of the Masters ultimate triumph, if everyone in the human race concentrates on one thing (the Doctor, embodiment of compassion consciousness) then the whole control system can be turned against the master (illuminati) and instead of triumph, turn all his schemes to ashes and remake the world as if the Master (illuminati) had never existed

The Doctor (at the moment of apotheosis) says to the Master:

"You know what I'm going to say"

(The Master) "NOOOO!!!"

"I forgive you"

(The Master) "Arrggghhh!"

So, anyone into co-incidence theory, or is Russell T Davis (Writer and producer) trying to tell us something?

firm favorite in our household. it has brought about many diverse discussions with our children on all sorts of topics relating to whats going on in the world at this moment.

My daughter Pixie says......
the thing i like the most about doctor who is that it's giving you a clue about what is realy going on in the world. and i think that when you watch it it just gives you the biggest clue of all time but most people tend to ignore this untill
one day there going to know whats going on in the world and then they will
reckonise the link between the world and doctor who that there are many different realitys and dimentions..............one day something like this might happen.............................but it's my all time favourite show!!!!:)

Hi bluestone333 & welcome to the forum :)

Totally agree with you. I'm sure a lot of people who watch it are not taking in the real clues that it's exposing, but those of us that do.... WOW!!

as in television programme. you could take it all to pieces and endlessly analyse it but once youre aware of the manipulations you only buy into what you chose to buy into anyway. What I find great about Dr Who is that it broaches many subjects to young people that they probaly havent previously considered. If I walked into the youth club I work in and put a David Icke book on the table and started to talk about infinate conciousness(which i have done!!)well.... but because Dr who is enjoyed by them I can walk into the club talk about Dr Who and for instance the use of technology to control and influence people i.e. cybermen, satelittes, implants etc and open a door for them by saying that these techniques are already used in this society, take a look on this site etc if you want to know more. Working with young people you realise how little they believe they are self empowered(infinate conciousness) and any thing that encourages them to look at a bigger picture and confirm there instinctive feelings that all is not right is a big positive to me.

I'm not sure about Torchwood... it's too dark and is a wee bit evil for me... too much sex and violence.. and some dodgy negative messages in it... Like the first episode we 'discover' that there is no existence after death and we have no soul.. Bollocks to that.... Dr Who is all about the individual taking a stand and using love and forgiveness while Torchwood is all about unprincipled spooks getting what they can in a world which is saturated with evil.

I reckon it's the Yin to Dr Who's Yang....

Watched a few episodes but won't watch anymore.

Yes i was refering to 70's programes like survivors , children of the stones and sci fi series sky when i mentioned programming ,planting seeds.Dr who is an excellent in road to what is going on and i do think russel t davis is using it as a vehicle to put info out there , i dont have a tv anymore and dr who along with the recent life on mars are the only things i watch at other peoples homes or thru dvd on pc .Series two tooth and claw the queen being bitten by a shapeshifting alien wolf, the DNA changes will take about 100 years to takeeffect early 21st century it should start to show the doctor informs rose  agree with edelweiss pirate torchwood (Thanks Tv links ) is a bit dark and souless although some good story lines and more scope being late night .

Hey EP, it's good to see ya back honey!!:D

I agree that Torchwood has some negative messages in it, but I do enjoy the little snippets that they do reveal about stuff going on too. Anyway I've been converted to enjoying Dr Who more now, tis well cool IMO!! The infinite love message is the way to go for sure!!

I've got lots of catching up with it to do all those episodes I haven't seen yet, cos I jumped in & watched the last one first, doh!!;)

no telly in this house either and its getting harder to find the episodes on you tube each week but where theres a will theres a way!!. just happy theres something on the mainstream that promotes disscusion amongst young people that is away from the latest it will make you happy must have bollocks they are being constantly bombarded with although my daughter did want a blow up dalek lol so we made a cut out one instead.
another little dalek story. My 5 year old wanted to know if there were baby daleks so we all had a good giggle about a david attenborough special on the reproductive habits of the dalek. How do daleks reproduce? IN SEM I NATE, IN SEM IN ATE. groan. Happy Monday :)

talking of daleks the daleks where once called kaleds a human species and genetically altered themselves in order to be a superior race , back in the tom baker days .Recently we saw the leader of the dlaeks become a human dalek in order to evolve , so yet another message about tampering with DNA , and set in New York as well?
