I was watching South Park last night and it was about loads of kids pretending to be the tooth fairy to make money, but half way through it, Kyle has a spiritual awakening, and surprisingly the South Park makers were not taking the piss out of it, in fact the gave a mini lecture on consciousness at the end, encouraging people to expand their consciousness!
I love South Park and find it has amazing cultural messages to offer, but when they did the episode on 9/11, basically taking the piss out of it and not even exploring it, just choosing the "Anyone who believes it is a retard." option, I kind of lost interest in the whole thing. But this new episode is a great thing! Maybe the writers are having their third eye squeegeed!
I'll see if I can get the episode on the internet somewhere and show you!

Actually, I've just done a bit of Google searching and the episode was made in 2000. Still, interesting all the same.
The episode is called "The Toothfairy Tats", I think.

South Park is absolutely one of the BEST shows on TV!
Extraordinary insight and fantastic delivery.
I have sooo many favorites but I must say the one with the "dog whisperer" is one of my faves. Also the "Lice Capades" with Angelina Jolie at the end... she so deserved that...joining the CFR and all!
Oh wait! The 9/11 episode with the "Hardly Boys" is also brilliant! LOL....before I add any more, let me post this....:D

My two favorites are the episode AWESOM-O, and the one with Mel Gibson, where Stan and Kenny try to get their money back off him after seeing The Passion Of The Christ. :D

trey parker and matt stone. they know comedy.
they are so enlightened.
and it shows on screen.
i wouldn't even say enlightened. they just don't give a fuck what people think about them.
which is just how everyone should be.
but instead. they stand out in our sheeple society.
family guy also. they've been doing great work and i'm happy that both shows are on tv.
breaking taboo with every scene.
