STEWARDS confiscated football fans’ 10ft flag of St. George, claiming it could be viewed as a ‘racist symbol’.

The group of Blackburn Rovers supporters said they were left stunned by the actions of the officials at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.

Dan Tolhurst, communications manager at Arsenal, said: “Arsenal as a club prides itself on being inclusive with respect to all nationalities, cultural and ethnic groups.

“We have therefore decided that in order for all of our fans to enjoy their experience at Emirates Stadium, we are asking that only flags without any national emblems, are displayed within the stadium.”

Very much so imo. I used to follow a football team up and down the country. Im not doing it anymore. I watched a live stream on the internet for free over the weekend. Football matches are copyrighted now,there must be someone employed to chase all the links round on match day, threatening the broadcasters with legal action. More power to the pirates i say and ha ha setanta.

I was one of the hundred or so people who voted for him here in the "Big Bro" by-election.
Yeah, I've always hated the BNP. They're completely at odds with what I've taken from DAvid's work and it depresses me to see so many of their supporters here. I've seen them calling people cockroaches based on their skin colour and I'm sorry but there is not a chance I'm ever going to get behind that.
