lmao.
I've worked plenty of customer service jobs here in Melbourne and I'm pretty sure I've spoken to this guy.
If you think he's pissed off about his license wait till you hear him express his feelings about his phone bill!

When I firsdt noticed this on the Latest Headlines page I thought it might be a recording of one of MY calls  cos I have done a couple of angry calls recently to my local gas company, but it was not as bad as the Aussie one lol which was brilliant :D
The gas company had sent me a bill out of the blue for £200  It got me down a little (subconciously) for a week or so, but I sorted that baaastards out. I was calling them criminals and nazis down the phone. Anyway, I await my new bill and see what happens. The bill was WRONG btw and they KNEW IT WAS but wouldnt admit to knowing it (obviously). They had to admit it was wrong WHEN I TOLD THEM WHY it was wrong. I kept saying to them something like "Is is correct ?, Is it CORRECT ?" (Like "is it safe ?" from Marathon Man). I KNEW it was wrong but they kept replying and saying that the amount on the bill is the amount that I had used, but I just kept saying "but is it CORRECT ?" cos I wanted to give them a chance to own up to their DELIBERATE mistake.

If they're hostile, aggressive or abusive you're supposed to warn them to refrain from further abuse or you'll terminate the call without further warning.
I used to love these calls though and keep them going for as long as possible. :D Usually hit the mute button now and then and say to a colleague "Have a listen to this bloke he's going off tap!"
9.9 times out of 10 if you actually gives callers like this the opportunity to vent their frustrations without taking it personally, and genuinely listen and respond with interest to their stories they'll end up calming down completely and apologising for their behaviour before becoming your new best mate for life.
The downside of that is that every time they call up in the future they'll ask for you personally and refuse to speak to anybody else.

Well I respect your patience. It's better than mine!:p We get some rude idiots come into my hospital and if they get arsey the nurses call security. I can see that rude people can be quite fun if you learn how to make a joke out of them and not let them get to you.
