Hello guys, I'm sorry I had to leave you for a while, but I am back..!

And yet, I have a question.. don't really know where to begin, but I'll try.

My girlfriend is experiencing truly painful stomach aches, sometimes it even causes faint, sometimes she vomits, even there's nothing left in her stomach..
We went to hospital, but doctors found absolutely nothing.. I'm so worried about her... Maybe it's just a stress, maybe it's just a symptome of awakening..? Please share your thoughts guys... :(

p.s. she's not pregnant.

How long has this been going on for? Did the doctor say anything? Maybe it's food poisoning or a flu. I remember one time I had a strange flu that last six hours.
I know this is a personal question: has she been wearing tampons lately? There's a slight chance of getting toxic shock syndrome from using them. But hopefully the doctor would have had some sense to ask about that.
I hope you find out what's wrong!

Hi,

It could be stress. I used to have strange abdominal pains when I was young and later I found out that stress caused it: the muscles in that area contract
and the tension causes pain, sometimes severe pain.
If that is the case with your girlfriend, she could try and put an electric pillow
on the area, that can be very soothing. Lying down, deep breaths and relaxing helps. Camomile tea always helped me too. As my family is in Serbia, they used to put some herb/alcohol mixture in a towel and this on my belly (old tradition!) and even that helped. For sickness she can try ginger.

You could go to an alternative doctor if the 'regular' doctors can't find anything, as you say. Maybe a homeopathic doctor or acupuncturist (don't know if you can find them in your country) who could look at the problem in a holistic way: looking at the whole person instead of just her stomach.
A real doctor, as I see it, would try as much as he/she can to help the patient. I hope you find someone like that.

Take care.

I'm sure she would know, but is it anything to do with her hormonal cycle? It may be realated, fibroids can be very painful and sometimes pain itself can cause nausea and vomiting.

A friend of mine had them and dicovered them when she went to A&E because of the pain.

Also has she been checked for a bladder infection?

I have no medical background, but could it be her bowels or spasms of the uterus?

How long does she have the problem? A GOOD doctor would ask all the right questions about things that could cause it; frequency of her periods, dieting, sporting (injury) changed situations in her life....
Maybe she or you could write some symptoms down (when did it first start, is it more painful during daytime or at night, do her bowels work properly, does sitting/lying in a certain position help etc) and then go see a doctor you trust.

Good luck!

She didnt develop a glucose intolerance? or maybe ate too much fruit and sugary foods - sugar may be fermenting in her stomach? I had that and had stomach/abdominal pains for weeks.

Well, she really loves sugary food, she eats irregularly and yet very little.. (I know sometimes pain is caused because organism lacks of food..)

I don't know much about her hormonal cycles.. Because these aches are irregular, it may come anytime, at any body position.. and may not come..

Maybe it has something to do with her uterus, I don't know.. I think she sould visit a gynaecologist.

Sounds like rebellious Qi (http://books.google.com.au/books?id=Jx5Zw3i5CZ4C&dq=the+web+that+has+no+weaver&printsec=frontcover&source=bn&hl=en&ei=-xDCScikI4mQtQOY2YHkBg&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=4&ct=result#PPA52,M2)

Try a traditional Chinese doctor, they can often successfully treat problems that western medicine cannot by correcting imbalances (restoring yin and yang). A Chinese doctor will treat the cause of the problem rather than masking the symptoms like western medicine usually does.

i have had something like this for years it comes and goes
for me
it is stress related and the less stress i have the less it happens
the conditions i have are called nauseous gastritis and colitis
of the two the second is far worse and causes me to actually collapse on the floor crying the pain is so bad
if i manage my stress levels i find i am mostly pain and nausea free
western meds did not help me at all (marijuana does help more than western meds) and another friend i know with a similar condition had it cured by the tibetan dr here in amsterdam
there are certified tibetan doctors in many countries in western europe so even if you do live where she can smoke pot the tibetan dr is a really good option as he will treat the source of the problem and weed only treats the symptoms
hope this helps

Well I doubt there are any oriental medicine specialists in Lithuania, but I'll do a search, thank's :)
