I have been reading this book recently and there are some interesting ideas mentioned. One of the ideas expressed by trying to interpret the various chambers was that around 2004 the 'bottom will fall out of the world' whatever that could mean, but it also mentions civilisation and its technology will collapse by 2010 and remain like that for at least 15 years later.

Although I am not a supporter of the 2012 thing this does seem to fit into the same general time scale.

It also claims that by 2025 world civilisation will be re-established and by 2055 technology will achieve its former level. By 2075 a completely new civilisation will emerge.

I think the interesting point is that it mentions that something will emerge after the problems rather than the usual end of the road scenario that is often mentioned. Who knows what time will bring!!

Well you know that the author Peter Lemesurier was pretty prolific back in the day for his books and interpretations about Nostradamus? He was one of main men on the Nostradamus circuit until old Nostradamus and his interpretors came unstuck with his famous x72 quatrain dated for July 1999. So I guess Peter realised the game was up and started on pseudo 2012 interpretations / predictions to keep the cash rolling in.

He also used to hang out at the alt.prophecies.nostradamus usenet group which has sadly turned into a cesspit of rubbish. He would post a fair few of his predictions there also. You'll find stuff about him or his own posts he made to that group here: http://groups.google.com/groups/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&as_q=Peter+Lemesurier&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&num=10&scoring=&lr=&sitesearch=groups.google.com&as_drrb=q&as_qdr=&as_mind=1&as_minm=1&as_miny=2009&as_maxd=1&as_maxm=1&as_maxy=2009&as_ugroup=&as_usubject=&as_uauthors=&safe=off

If his Nostradamus interpretations and predictions are anything to go by I wouldn't count on anything happening whatsoever. But you never know, make enough predictions and by the law of averages you'll get a hit one day ;)

Never knew that. Must admit I am not a fan of such doom predictions.

I never take the nostrodamus stuff seriously. It is so vague that people can make a lot of things out of it. I bought a copy years ago but it just gathers dust.

I must admit I was quite into the Nostradamus stuff years back but I was still at school at the time and it was way before the x72 July 1999 prediction - when it all went tits up for him.

I did use to frequent alt.prophecies.nostradamus regularly back then - it was more of conspiracy / alt news group than just Nostro stuff.

To be fair about Peter he always struck me as someone that was geniunely interested in the subject. He came across as very knowledgable and he was never going out of his way to push his books in that group. He could have done so quite easily as the place was totally unmoderated. I think most regulars were aware he was an author on the subject.

I was just suprised to see him as the author when I looked up your book. Might check it out just to see what he's got to say these days.

I bought the book years ago but its just been sitting in the house. I was reading some Edgar Cayce stuff about pyramids, etc. recently and thought I would pick the book up and see what it says. Peter mentions some Cayce readings in which the pyramid contained codes in such things as stone colour, angles, etc. so I though I would read up a bit on it. Like you say though, he could have had preconceived ideas about what his interpretations were going to be.

I can't really say I know anything much about Cayce TBH - but from what you say, Peter maybe has a bit a thing about these prophet types. You can almost read anything into the Nostradamus prophecies as they were so vague, no idea about if Cayce was so vague.

I like Cayces stuff and it is pretty clear what he says. He has made some prophecies that did not occur I think. Maybe they are what will happen if a current set of events continues, then people change what they are doing and the prohpecy doesnt happen. Personally I think prophecies are mere forecasts showing what the results of actions will lead to unless change is made rather than seeing them as unavoidable catastrophies.
