These are pretty expensive at Tesco, nearly £5 for a single "Maxtra" type. :eek:

The manufacturers recommend changing them once a month. Does anyone use them for longer than that, since manufacturers usually recommend people buying replacements long before they're needed so they can make more money.

Or if they really do need renewing every month, are there any reputable places I can buy them cheaper?

I know they won't filter out fluoride (fortunately I'm in an area where the water company doesn't add fluoride - at least so far).
