I'll bet most Brits have used this vocal apathy phrase thousands of times in their lives.
It often goes through my head when I know I should do something deep down but physically am too lazy to do it, hence apathy wins.
IMO the "Can't be arsed" mentality is endemic in the UK, US, in fact most of the world.
This is why nothing ever changes, especially for the better. For things to change (for the better), effort needs to be applied.
However, sitting on your arse all day doing nothing is not the only way to be apathetic and lazy.
Working and supporting the status quo because you can't be bothered doing anything different ,(even though you know your actions are wrong), is just as lazy and apathetic to supporting the present order of things as doing nothing at all.
