On occasion when I don't get enough sleep I get a sensation where things are moving v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y like people are talking with a slow motion effect and everything seems very heavy, then all of a sudden it's like someone's hit the fast foward button and voices sound like "the chipmunks" and everything speeds up and its all out of control. (frightning tbh)

Also get this pain right at the very bottom of my spine, which wakes me up, again once in a blue moon, need to take pain killers til the fucking thing dies down.

Anybody else get anything similar?

No, nothing like that has ever happened to me. It sounds frightening!

I remember during my drug-induced years, I used to think that I felt so strange from the come-down. But since then I've experience the same feeling from sleep deprivation (which I also had after doing drugs). Most of the strange things I've experienced from lack of sleep happened in form of dreams. I once fell asleep on my couch with my newborn in her bassinet beside me. I had a dream that I was awake (ie, I was extremely lucid) and looking down at her. Her face was morphing and it was extremely frightening. My partner ran in (in the dream), but he couldn't pass this invisible barrier and I could barely hear him even though he was screaming at me from a few feet away. I tried to yell back, and I was shocked when I started speaking in tongues.

It felt so real. The brain does weird things when it is sleep deprived. But you have things happen when you are fully awake. Maybe you should get checked by someone?

Or, maybe it's a glitch in the matrix ;)

I get the same feeling when I am in deep meditation or begining to astral project.......I think you might just have a lot of unused body energy........you should really look into what are your thoughts and really follow them for a while you might find the answers you are seeking.

btw...how long have you been clean from drugs, I know what it means to go through a drug with drawl?

I've been off drugs for about six years. I didn't do extremely addictive drugs, so in the long run, it wasn't too difficult to get off them.
