So, Richard Nixon got to be President. But was he too independent of TPTB?
Is that we he was forced out?
There's a great scene in the film about Nixon wherein Breshnez say's
'He had the world in the palm of his hand...and he blew it!'
So, it made me think, maybe Nixon and Kissinger were only in it for themselves and when TPTB realised that Nixon and Kissinger had got ahead of the curve they brought about Nixons downfall!!
I think that Nixon could have brought about world peace and done some good if he'd not been driven out. In terms of taking on and out thinking TPTB he might even be a hero!!

I doubt he was an agent for positive change, except indirectly. He could have ushered an era of true dictatorship Soviet-style which would have awakened people in the USA to the true state of things.

JFK wasn't a saint far from it but he's the last president that truly followed some sort of a conscience. As for his choices of cabinet, Presidents don't hold any power over that, for the most part.....
