Over 200 years ago, American society's top political thinkers gathered to determine what American law should be. They had experienced the outright tyranny and abuse of power of Britain: taxes on stamps and tea, housing violent British soldiers, not to mention losing the power to control their own currency, which is vital to healthy economy.
Living through such tyranny, they became aware of the changes which could improve the status of their freedom and independence from Britain.
One of these suggestions was the 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights: the unconditional right of americans to bear arms.
"Why so?" you might ask. Lets make one thing straight- it was not solely to accomodate hunters. It was so that if tyranny or injustice were to spring up, the common people, wouldnt be vulnerable and subject to dictatorship. If enough people were informed, they could quite efficiently deter those who were attempting to overtake the nation.
"Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people,"
once stated 2nd president John Adams.
Accordingly, Liberty is a hell of alot harder to maintain if you are up against armed forces and you are defenseless. This brings me to my main thesis of this post: People of the Earth, if you are able to, go out and get a gun.
I am NOT:
saying you have to go and kill someone.
encouraging violent upheavals in your local community.
saying that violence is the answer to anything.
advising this because i work for Remington or other gun manufacturers.
trying to scare people into a violent frenzy.
For Americans, it is your undeniable right to have the means to protect yourself, family, friends, rights, and property if the situation arises. Determined criminals will always find a way to prey upon defenseless people with weapons, bought or handmade.
Having firearms can relieve anxiety and feelings of helplessness in situations of crime and robbery. You have nothing to lose by owning the means to protect yourself. However remaining unarmed may cost you very much- possibly your life or a relative's.
Here a few reasons why you should own atleast one gun.
1. the possibility of being robbed
2. government takeovers or martial law
3. protecting your family, property, and rights.
4. the possibility of an attack on local soil, especially with a lack of US soldiers at home. (who would protect us if China or Russia eventually invaded up from Mexico?)
5. it can relieve anxiety and increase a sense of security in your home.
6. for Americans, it is your full legal right and civic responsibility to be armed and to protect your family, neighbors, and communities.
Remember, these are just a few reason, I'm sure you can come up with dozens more!
Life can be very unpredictable and I think it would be very wise for every individual and household to have atleast one firearm just for that seemingly impossible situation where you face armed enemies. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain from having access to firearms to defend your property and rights.
I would like to send a 'thank you' to our Constitutional framers and founding fathers for having such foresight to grant us the right to defend our way of life and general freedom!
