I see the clever marketing ploy (con job) of only doing a "few shows THIS year in London and then that WILL BE IT" seems to have worked wonders...
Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough
Michael Jackson hysteria continues in the UK and across the world today, by all accounts, after the self-styled King of Pop extended his already mammoth London residency into 2010. At last week's dramatic O2 Arena press conference, the singer told his frothing at the mouth fans this would be "the final curtain call", insisting "This is it!" Well, from an initial raft of ten dates, there are currently 46 to choose from, suggesting he is planning on taking one hell of a farewell bow.
Around a million people apparently want to see his iconic return and tour promoters, AIG, have experienced "unprecedented" demand for Jacko's comeback, with those heading the queue using pre-sale codes distributed by michaeljacksonlive.com. The remaining share, thought to be half the total available, will go up-for-grabs tomorrow morning to the general public. Inevitably, many tickets have already been posted on numerous online sales destinations, with prices ranging from £170 to £10,000, despite face value being between £50-£75.
At the latest count, these are the confirmed dates, with more set to be announced.
