Has anyone seen the matrix since waking up - i mean the film!!!:rolleyes::D

me and the OH watched all three last night and i was amazed how differently i perceived it now im awake- just wondered what all your thoughts are? i know its only a film but these films arnt made by accident are they? i was reading stuart wildes book - gods gladiators and itw was saying how the matrix is the story of the holy trinity....... morpheus being the father, neo the son and trinity the divine godess mary magdalene!
im sure all this is old news to you more enlightened folk but im just following my path and wondered what else if anything you saw in the movie.....:D

Yeah I liked that bit too. I have seen similar things on & off for years now, although not to the extent that he describes. They're sometimes in clouds but also in other objects too - lots of random faces!! Very strange :)

I have seen a few clouds that weren't clouds, only last week while driving on the M1, saw a cloud that had one end as a perfect right angle, it was so obvious. I wanted too take a picture, but was doing 90mph, thought better not!!;):D
See allot of perfect circles in clouds as well.......... Also, a mate of mine and I were doing a skywatch one night when a circular cloud with a cross in the middle floated over us! It was not natural!...........:cool:

i totally agree- i got an A last year when i retook my GSCE English and recently i cant seem to spell properly- words seems strange....say 'beard' over and over- it ends up sounding really weird!!!! lol!!! :eek:

I'm usually pretty good, but lately I just have to look at a word for any length of time & I completely lose the plot as to how to spell the bloody thing!! I end up having to look it up elsewhere, it's crazy!!:confused: I'm glad you're experiencing it too, cos I thought it was just me going mad!! Perhaps we're all losing our marbles eh, lol!!:D

I had the exact same thought, to watch The Matrix, about a month ago, which I did.

Yes, it's so packed with information and references, that I'm quite amazed how they even got a story line to fit with it all.

Makes you wonder about who thought it up and wrote it...

I read once that Sophia Stewart claimed to be the true author of The Matrix (her book was called The Third Eye) and tried to sue the Wachowski brothers, but she never filed the paperwork properly....or something. They were also accused at least one other time of plagiarism.

They also did V for Vendetta, another massively important movie...quite a lot of success for them...

Whoa… I can’t believe I’ve never come across this before. I was reading about how Larry (er… Linda) Wachowski is becoming a woman (http://www.gothamist.com/archives/2004/05/01/matrix_of_lives.php) and came across something much more interesting.

The Story

Apparently, the brothers Wachowski stole the idea from the Matrix series from a script/concept submitted to them for a comic book in the eighties. The world of The Matrix, which has been widely noted to parallel the gnostic mythical tradition in many ways, was created by a woman named Sophia! Having even my limited knowledge of gnosticism, this revelation really kicked my ass. Before an explanation, let me do Sophia Stewart some justice and report the story…

Sophia Stewart first filed her case in 1999 after seeing the first Matrix film, claiming it was based off of her epic, “The Third Eye,” which was copyrighted in 1981. She also claims that the Terminator movies were based off of the same work, but a different aspect. More on that later. It seems that Warner Brothers or Viacom or Halliburton or whoever contained the scandal pretty skillfully. Which is easy if you own most of the media in the United States. At any rate, it’s leaked out a little because of the fact that Stewart is a black woman. Besides the acne-faced douchebag community (http://www.matrix-explained.com/), the African-American community has been the only to really pursue this story. This article (http://www.slccglobelink.com/news/2004/10/28/Entertainment/mother.Of.The.Matrix.Victorious-785067.shtml) claims that Ms. Stewart has won the case and received damages already, but some sources I came across discredit that fact. I don’t know or care.

Even though that story makes an offhand mention of the “Sophia” connection, it doesn’t really go into the parallels between gnosticism and Stewart’s situation and the Matrix. I found some interesting snippets of conversation in these ‘Matrix-Explained’ forums (http://www.matrix-explained.com/php/about-the-matrix-movies-1462-25.html), but it was mostly myopic, stupid, confused crap. Plus, I hate sifting through forums for good information. So, OK, here’s my go at it:

The Back-Story

First, here is a quick overview (http://altreligion.about.com/library/faqs/bl_gnosticism.htm) of Sophia from a Gnostic viewpoint:

… Sophia (the Holy spirit), a divine emanation, seeks to know God, and in doing, falls outside the “Pleroma,” or divine light. As She falls, she gives birth to Yaldaboth, who is also Satan/Yahweh, who believes himself to be God, and creates the material world and mankind, trapping Sophia within. The serpent in the Garden, and later, Jesus himself, are manifestations of the Holy spirit attempting to free mankind from slavery…

So Sophia, in trying to get closer to God, creates a half-realized demon that creates the world. This world (and those in it) are hijacked by this false god (known as an Archon, which means something akin to petty ruler). The parallels are ridiculous here!

Sophia as Sophia

She has imagined this world in the form of a story. Since she alone is not sufficiently powerful to bring this story to life, she submits her story to a party that can make this possible. This ‘male element’ that is necessary for wholeness or completion is represented by the Wachowski’s, who have the ability to translate her world into digestible, tangible media. This accounts for the conception and birth of the demon/Yahweh who took over this world that she imagined and quite literally, now, has trapped her within it.

Well, the Yahweh-kowski Brothers, in their need to deceive those who would learn and achieve gnosis based on their stories, have ruined the sequels and confused their message. This happens in part because of their lack of understanding of the divine and their faith in the ‘flesh’ (kung-fu and guns). It is important to note also, though, that they could not maintain power amongst the other Archons (Joel Silver, Warner Brothers, etc…) if they delivered too much information, too much substance to the viewer. And I must say that the glitz and glamour of the two sequels was more than enough for most viewers.

After shutting out Sophia and creating the world of the Matrix, the Wachowski brothers have now split off into dualistic roles – one becoming female – as if to try to consolidate their powers of being into a more complete self without Sophia.

Sophia, now, is trapped in a legal battle to bring gnosis to the people. OK, and maybe some of that $2.5 billion to herself as well.

Hopefully that makes some sense. This whole thing is really blowing my mind; whether I am conveying that or not, I don’t know. This scenario just makes what was actually cosmic about the Matrix series, along with what is so cosmic about the ideas of Gnosticism so much more real for me. It really brings the ideas put forth full circle. All the parallel marketing in the whole world ( in the way of video games and animated series and so on) couldn’t do it as well…

Those films do the same thing. The child in the first Terminator who is born to the pregnant lady (Sarrah Connor) grows up to be the same as the grown man character in the Matrix called Neo, it’s that chosen one, savior concept. This is happening to me as well....i used to be a great speller and my grammar was excellent but the last year or so it's been up the wall. Like you say i will write a whole sentence then look back and it's as if i have mysteriously turned into a dyslexic?? And i write the wrong spelling for words it's crazy!!

I thought it was cos i'm getting older lolol :D.

Sophia Stewart: I have what’s called a character analysis sheet, that profiles all of my characters and all mostly all the matrix characters have parallels of my people. In my work I had illustrations and logo’s to compare them with also. The FBI investigators used this to establish things. Icon gets blinded and the gold light comes out of his eyes, Neo has the same experience. I can show you the page and all of that in my book. Icon’s human side dies and he is reborn and Neo’s human side dies and he is reborn, Icon comes into spiritual power and Neo comes into spiritual power. I have the old gypsy hag and they have the Oracle they work in the same capacity. In "Third Eye" my character Trafeeny has been renamed Trinity ,Vashtar is renamed Morpheus, X’sers is Apock (sp) , Un becomes Cypher, Sona is Switch, Treve is Mouse, That is straight theft no real creativity even in their theft. I have the three levels of authority which was 3 guys that could pass their power off to each other - they all become one man that is the three agents. In my book I have The Dome which is a hidden city above the earth they have Zion which is a hidden city below the Earth. I have the Guardians they have the Sentinels.

So there you have it. The Wachowski's and co must have planted there own twist into it. It's like she supplied all the nesscasary information from a general perspective and they supplied all the connections to "the real world". Zion, names from the bible and roman gods and jesus bloodlines and all that.
If this is true than it was all meant to be liek this if you know what I mean. Maybe it had to happen the way it happened. (stolen ideas)

It seems the Terminator is part of the story. You could think of it as the original genesis for the matrix. Whereas wachowskis\warnerbros wrote the animatrix genesis stories..... which was very biblical too.

hmmm, I think we are onto something hot here, something we all need to realise at this stage of awakening. I have just been delving through my gnostic books especially in the book of poimandres. This book describes a meeting between man and spirit where he man asks the spirit about his existence and the Aeons. The Aeons are in my knowledge to be levels of dimension or frequency, this is the physical Aeon. To be honest it confuses the hell out of me but I know that after a bout of persistence to understand it I do in the end understand it. The books continually mention the Aeons and upt everyone off with sayings like this, "I bless the 4th aeon which is the same as the 1st". There are 12 Aeons in total (i think)

It talks of 'copies', i.e the pro-creator created copies of the aeons with fire and spirit etc? From this lingo I can safely say that this is satans world and we are in satans body. It also talks lots about the ignorance of this creature so this explains why we are ignorant, because this is his body.

Look at the issue of 'copies', that would explain the universal law of + -, up/down, the triangles in the star of david being inverted etc.

Jesus said "there are opposites in nature, you must transend these opposites to become eternal". Make the left into right, blah blah

The most important thing is poimandres talking of a progresion through the Aeons. He describes a process of 'waking up' that comes in stages and is linked to understanding. We progress through the Aeons, progress through levels of consciousness. This must be done whilst alive, you wont find me when you are dead! :o)

I love the part about Sophia, it is hard to follow but I do feel this inside of me as described. The holy spirit is described as our messenger and comes from the father. It's job is to wake us up, I like it, it works in me and answers my questions so long as ignorance is not there. I have the Matrix DVD box with commentaries by Ken Wilber and Cornel West. Very cool stuff. It was some time ago I watched them. I think I will watched them again soon. I had God's Gladiators as an e-book on my PC but I have left that computer to garbage recycling and I forgot to make a copy of the e-book.

Ken Wilber talked about how the Matrix represented the mind (green), Zion the body (blue) and the machine world represented Spirit (yellow/gold). When you look at the movies you can see that scenes taken within the Matrix have a green tint to them, and Zion scenes have a blue tint.

Cornel West talked about how the first Matrix movie was a critique of the corporate world.

And both Ken Wilber and Cornel West talked a lot about how the Matrix movies represented philosophical and spiritual ideas.

i don't think we are able to understand what their understanding of an aeon is, what they were describing.

this is just a myth. a myth is something so vast, so out of this world, that becomes a story that humans can comprehend.

The most logical conclusion I arrive at is like yours regarding imagination. I know the power of imagination to create our destiny so this is definitely important. Remember yahweh was created without the consent of the father /pleroma rules, but man was ok in this respect, he had consent of all to be created which makes us special. Gnosticism

Like Plato, Gnosticism also presents a distinction between the highest, unknowable “alien God” and the demiurgic “creator” of the material. However, in contrast to Plato, several systems of Gnostic thought present the Demiurge as antagonistic to the will of the Supreme Being: his act of creation occurs in unconscious imitation of the divine model, and thus is fundamentally flawed, or else is formed with the malevolent intention of entrapping aspects of the divine in materiality. Thus, in such systems, the Demiurge acts as a solution to the problem of evil. In the Apocryphon of John circa 200AD (several versions of which are found in the Nag Hammadi library), the Demiurge has the name “Yaltabaoth,” and proclaims himself as God:

“Now the archon (ruler) who is weak has three names. The first name is Yaltabaoth, the second is Saklas (“fool”), and the third is Samael. And he is impious in his arrogance which is in him. Yaldabaoth

“Yaldabaoth” literally means “Child, come here” in a Semitic language. For example, the Hebrew word for “young girl” is “yalda,” and for “come” is “bo.” Thus, most probably “yaldabaoth” is a declension of “young girl” and “come,” together meaning “young girl, come hither” (the language’s identification as Hebrew itself is doubtful).

Gnostic myth recounts that Sophia (Greek, literally meaning “wisdom”), the Demiurge’s mother and a partial aspect of the divine Pleroma or “Fullness,” desired to create something apart from the divine totality, and without the receipt of divine assent. In this abortive act of separate creation, she gave birth to the monstrous Demiurge and, being ashamed of her deed, she wrapped him in a cloud and created a throne for him within it. The Demiurge, isolated, did not behold his mother, nor anyone else, and thus concluded that only he himself existed, being ignorant of the superior levels of reality that were his birth-place.

Samael

“Samael” literally means “Blind God” or “God of the Blind” in Aramaic (Syriac sæmʕa-ʔel). But this being is considered not only blind, or ignorant of its own origins, but may in addition be evil; its name is also found in Judaica as the Angel of Death and in Christian demonology. This leads to a further comparison with Satan.

Another alternative title for the Demiurge, “Saklas,” is Aramaic for “fool” (Syriac sækla “the foolish one”).

Yahweh

Some Gnostic philosophers (notably Marcion of Sinope and the Sethians) identify the Demiurge with Yahweh, the God of the Old Testament, in opposition and contrast to the God of the New Testament. Still others equated the being with Satan. Catharism apparently inherited their idea of Satan as the creator of the evil world directly or indirectly from Gnosticism. Or, they may well have gotten the idea directly from the New Testament, which refers to Satan as “The God [‘ho theos’] of this age” in Second Corinthians 4:4. It was a few weeks ago that I was pondering this very question, looking deeper for more meaning in the matrix movies, then i thought, what if you flip it all round and rather than having Zion as the physical dense reality, look at it as the lighter less dense reality, like you say the inner self, where the real you resides. That would then make the digital matrix the more dense, solid reality, lie our world now (with an holographic overlay)

Yep the control room for entry to Zion spun me out a bit, like Zion is pretty rough around the edges, decor wise, yet the control room was so sterile & white...sorta very similar to the grand architects HQ with all the TV screens..why the similarities??

The sterile environment is the 'plugged in' mode, because in the very next shot you see those same controllers lying back on the chairs, dressed down like the rest of the people in "the real world", and they're jacked in.

I sure like the Matrix 1 movie as well. The others seem to be missleading in some way. The first one is about the awakening and the 2 other ones might be the future. That is how I see it anyway. I have been thinking about watching them again these last few days, but I really feel like spending all my time with a girl these days :o So not much time to go around and do nothing. In fact... I think I will go see her right now :)

I hope she will be happy to see me.

The Matrix
I watched them all again several times, as I have been "awake" as you say for about 7 years. There is lots of symbology and other interesting elements such as character names, ships and locations and what they represent. No wonder David Icke himself goes on about them so much. I do wonder though about the movie business and there is another thread on here that covers a lot of that, ARE the people who make the movies really deliberately putting in occult symbology, numerology and mythical characters in the films as it's just so abundant!

I think we can all agree that the hidden messages in our films are either deliberate psychological or subliminal messages to help control us or they are just amazing, incredible co-incidences.

I think that it's messages for us to find, but I always wonder whether they are put there by directors and head-honchos or are they put there by insiders who are just trying to get a message out.

I'm not sure, maybe they are like gang tags for the illuminati or something.

I still enjoyed The Matrix and I will continue to enjoy other films, but when I spot something a little suspect I just wink and nod and enjoy the rest of the show.
